John came to Pacific Garden Mission one year ago after a stranger met him living on the streets of Texas and felt led by God to buy him a bus ticket to Pacific Garden Mission. John joined the Bible Program and will be graduating soon. As John celebrates his birthday today, we thank God for all of those who help support our mission and for all of the lives being transformed through Jesus Christ here. John's full story will be in the upcoming September PGM News. He is a new creature in Christ. We thank you for being a part of these transformations and for supporting our ministry.

While the world continues to feed off of negativity, anger, and division, Jesus Christ calls us to be a lamp to the lost. The Bible is the Christian’s map while mainstream media has turned into the secular world’s map. One, the Bible, focuses on love and faith, while the other, mainstream media, promotes hostility, conflict, and discord. Many of the lost souls who come to Pacific Garden Mission for help spent their whole lives fed by the darkness of the world. For many of them when they arrive here, however, they experience their first taste of Christ-based insight, which we know as the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the power of God.
