Ferdinand is made up of numerous ethnic groups, each with it's own unique culture and traditions. We believe diversity should be celebrated by highlighting each group and it's own special identity. For the past several years we have been able to provide a growing number of activities and programs to celebrate both the diversity of our parish families and our unity in faith. Currently, we celebrate

nine Masses each weekend in two languages - English and Polish.

Dear Parishioners,
We warmly invite everyone to join us this Sunday June 7th for Holy Mass as we celebrate one of the most sacred and beautiful feasts of our faith — the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi).

Let us come together as one community to honor Jesus truly present in the Eucharist, to give thanks for His abiding love, and to strengthen our faith through prayer and worship. May our shared celebration deepen our unity and fill our hearts with grace.

All are welcome. Come, adore, and rejoice in the Lord who remains with us in the Blessed Sacrament.

Today in our church we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity — a special feast of God’s love: the Father who loves the Son, and the Holy Spirit who is the living bond of that love.

On this day, we also offered our heartfelt gratitude to God for the many years of service of the Missionary Sisters of Christ the King, who have now completed their ministry at St. Ferdinand Church.
We thank them for their talents, their dedication, their prayerful presence, and the beautiful witness of their vocation.

We pray that in the new places to which they are sent, they may rediscover their mission in a renewed way — guiding others to Christ and supporting the communities they are called to serve.
May God bless them with abundant grace and with personal joy as they continue their journey.

Reverend Fathers,

On this special occasion of your priestly jubilees, we offer heartfelt thanks to God for the gift of your vocation and for the years of faithful and loving service to the Church and to our parish community of St. Ferdinand.
Your presence, prayer, and spiritual guidance are a source of strength, hope, and peace for us all.

Thank you for your prayer, your presence, and your witness of life that reminds us that God can be found in every person we meet.

May Jesus Christ, the Eternal High Priest, bless you each day with strength, wisdom, and the light of the Holy Spirit.
May your hearts remain filled with peace, and may your ministry continue to bear abundant fruit of faith, love, and hope.
May every day of your priestly life be a blessing — for you and for all those you lead closer to God.

With deep respect, gratitude, and prayer,
The Community of st. Ferdinand Parish

In this beautiful sanctuary — the Basilica of St. Hyacinth — and beneath the statue of St. John Paul II, the Pope who loved young people so deeply, we gather each year to offer our final words of gratitude to God for the years of learning in our Polish schools.
It is here, in this sacred place filled with faith and memory, that our hearts unite in thanksgiving.

The pride and joy of their parents, the hope and future of our Polonia — our young graduates — fill the pews that so often remain empty during ordinary days.
Today, however, they shine with youthful presence, reminding us that in them lies our future: so much beauty, so much faith, so much patriotism and courage.
For Poland lives in our hearts as long as there are Poles who cherish her and carry her forward.

We thank the parents for their determination, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment, which allow the next generation to grow in the language and culture of their ancestors.
To our graduates, we extend our heartfelt wishes: may the values planted in your hearts continue to grow, flourish, and bear abundant fruit.

May your future be bright, colorful, and filled with success in a country that offers safety, opportunity, and the freedom to pursue your dreams.
Walk confidently into the world, remembering where you come from and the roots that give you strength.

We are very proud to announce that the school year at Saint Ferdinand Polish School has officially come to an end this weekend.
This year, 28 of our students received their Polish Language Diplomas, a remarkable accomplishment that reflects their dedication, hard work, and love for their heritage.
Our graduates are exceptionally bright. They received official transcripts confirming that they have achieved B2 proficiency in the Polish language — a level that demonstrates strong communication skills, advanced understanding, and the ability to express themselves with confidence.
Our closing Mass was celebrated by Pastor, Father Piotr Gnoiński, whose presence added meaning and blessing to this special day.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all parents for the trust you place in us year after year.
Congratulations to you and your children — their success is also your success.
We also want to express our sincere appreciation to our dedicated teachers and to Sister Bogusia, whose commitment, patience, and passion guided our students throughout the entire year. Their work is the foundation of every achievement we celebrate today.

We wish all our students a safe, joyful, and unforgettable summer vacation.

It was a very busy and memorable weekend at Saint Ferdinand Polish School.
We celebrated Constitution Day, and more than 100 of our students proudly marched in the parade in downtown Chicago. The students who remained at school held their own parade around the building, creating a joyful celebration on our campus.

All of our students wore white and red outfits, honoring the colors of the Polish flag and proudly expressing their Polish heritage. At the same time, they also celebrated the 250th anniversary of the United States, carrying American flags alongside Polish ones.

Our children are truly proud of their Polish roots and equally proud to be part of the American story.
Proud to be Polish‑American students.
