Urban Dolorosa

Urban Dolorosa Over 300 children (18 & under) have been killed by violence in Chicago in the last three school years.

Imagine our entire city standing with those who suffer and seeking to understand and prevent this violence. We are now partnering with Chicago's Citizens for Change to develop a citywide response to families who lose a loved one to senseless violence. This new response (called Chicago Survivors) will consist of a database and network of available services for tr

aumatized families and youth, a telephone hotline, a palm card to be distributed by police and hospitals, and trained crisis response volunteers to work directly with families.
