Yes.....
Choose What Is Right
Just because some things in life appear hard, enduring, and painful doesn’t mean that you should stop doing what you know in your heart is right. Choosing to do what is right will always produce victory within. Your job is to fight the good fight of faith and finish the race set before you. We all have a race that we are aiming to complete.
Every time you choose obedience over emotion, truth over impulse, and faith over fear, something powerful happens inside of you. Victory is formed inwardly before it is ever seen outwardly.
Luke 21:19 Stand firm, and you will win life.
The truth is, stability in God produces victory in life.
Romans 12:17–18, 21 Never repay anyone evil for evil. Take thought for what is right and gracious and proper in the sight of everyone. If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not be overcome and conquered by evil, but overcome evil with good.
You have a responsibility to think about what is right and what will produce peace. Peace is not always mutual, but doing what is right must always be personal, regardless of what someone else does. When we overcome evil with good, we are not being passive, we are being powerful. We are refusing to let darkness define us, shape us, or contaminate our spirit. We are choosing Kingdom authority over human reaction.
Prayer for Today
Lord, I give thanks to You for all that You are doing within my heart, mind, and soul. I am submitting my thoughts, my emotions, and my soul to the leading of the Spirit. I know that You are ordering my steps. Give me strength and understanding to resist worry, unrest, fear, anger, hurt, bitterness, and any thought or action that tries to overpower my desire to do what is right, not in the sight of man but in the sight of God, my Father. There are ways that seem right to a man, but the purposes of God will prevail. I refuse to allow my life to be consumed by things that serve no fruitful purpose within me. Help me to keep my heart with all diligence, for I know that out of it spring the issues of life. My heart’s desire is to do good unto all people, especially my brothers and sisters in Christ. May I be sensitive to the needs of others, may I serve others with love and grace, and may I restore others with the spirit of meekness. Let me always take the focus off of myself and focus my attention on Your will, Your plans, and Your purpose. I choose to overcome and conquer evil with good. I refuse to allow evil acts to overcome and conquer me. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen!
