We are excited to announce the launch of the Black Liberation Theology Institute . The Black Liberation Theology Institute, launched today, seeks to bridge the gap between the academy and the church by exploring and promoting the principles of Black Liberation Theology. Pioneered by the late Rev. Dr. James H. Cone, this groundbreaking approach to theology emphasizes the importance of liberation, empowerment, and justice in the lives of Black people.

The launch of the Black Liberation Theology Institute will be a pivotal moment, bringing together leading thinkers, theologians, and activists to celebrate the legacy of Dr. James Cone and the impact of his work. Through its programming and initiatives, the Institute aims to provide a space for scholars, students, and religious leaders to engage with each other, collaborate on research and advocacy, and bridge the gap between theory and practice.

The Institute will create a community of scholars and religious leaders who are committed to promoting the principles of Black Liberation Theology within their respective fields, communities and congregations. By fostering collaboration and dialogue between these communities, the Institute will provide a platform for new and innovative ideas, and ultimately help to transform the academy and the church.
