r Christian life together. The First United Methodist Church, commonly know as the Chicago Temple, is older than the city of Chicago, founded in 1831. Today the church worships in the fifth building to be located at the corner of Clark and Washington. Designed by Holabird and Roche, the cornerstone was laid in 1922 and the building was dedicated in 1924. The main sanctuary on the ground level is open for prayer and meditation Monday - Friday from 11 am to 1pm. A free tour of the Sky Chapel is offered Following Sunday Services.

We are delighted to welcome Chanu Lee, our new seminary intern at First United Methodist Church of Chicago!

Chanu is a third-year student in the Master of Divinity program at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and will be joining our ministry team beginning Sunday, September 13—our Homecoming Sunday.

We look forward to worshiping, learning, and serving alongside Chanu. Please join us in warmly welcoming him into our church family and praying for him as he begins this exciting journey of ministry with us in the coming days!!!
