With a heavy heart, but a joyous spirit we announce the passing of Cornell Ferrill on August 19, 2026. Cornell was a dearly beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, choir member, and friend, who will be greatly missed by many.

The Ferrill Family invites you to join us in a “Celebration of Life: Smilin’ and Stylin’” in his honor.

Come dressed to “The Nines” or in your favorite “Corndogg” inspired outfit and most importantly, with a smile! Let’s celebrate with laughter, music, and love, the legacy of this wonderful man of God.

The celebration will begin at 12pm August 29, 2026 at Cornell’s place of worship, Canaan Community Church, 1701 W Garfield Blvd. Chicago, IL 60636

If you would like to make a financial contribution, Cornell has requested donations on his behalf to either:
Canaan Community Church, HBCU Alumni Choir, or Kentucky State University National Alumni Association.
