Yesterday after service St. Peter's held a "Victory Lap" to discuss our successful participation in the Chicago Pride Parade! It gave us a chance to celebrate our ministry, name and praise God for our successes, and make constructive notes for next year. Both Mother Daphne and Pride Parade chairperson Deanna led the discussion, for which many of the congregation stayed and participated!

On Sunday, June 28, we celebrated many things, including having Bishop Paula Clark (the Bishop of Chicago) and Deacon Mike (The Archdeacon of the Diocese of Chicago) leading the service, 2 members being confirmed, 2 members being received into the Episcopal Church, and a multi-parish celebration of the Chicago Pride Parade!

A big thanks to all of you who contributed water bottles to distribute at the Pride Parade on Sunday, June 28. We have met and exceeded our goal of 1,500 bottles! Cases of water will still be accepted up to Sunday, June 21.

Join us on June 28, for a joyful celebration of love and inclusivity! Everyone is welcome at St. Peter's Episcopal Church as we proudly celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and the beautiful diversity of God's creation at this year's Chicago Pride parade! Our beautiful red doors will be the perfect spot to enjoy the parade, and we can't wait to host everyone who wants to join in the fun!
You're welcome to join us for 10 AM mass and stay for the parade or just stop by for music, prayer, hospitality, and a place to cool off!

On Sunday, May 24, we celebrated Pentecost. Many parishioners wore red (as can be seen in our group photo!), Mother Daphne asperged the congregation with holy water, and we were treated to beautiful music by our organist Charlie and guest musicians Eddy, Maria, and Peter.

After service on Sunday, May 17, the St. Peter's parish held its BOM (Big Organizational Meeting) for the 2026 Chicago Pride Parade, which will pass directly in front of the church on Sunday, June 28. In addition to welcoming parishioners from other Chicago-area Episcopal churches, this year we'll also be welcoming Bishop Paula Clark! At our after-service meeting, people signed up for various committees which are Bottled Water, Baked Goods, Liturgy, Publicity, Breakfast, and "The Bishop"!
