W niedzielę, 18 października, podczas Mszy Świętej o godz. 12:30 pm odbędzie się uroczysta Msza Św. rocznicy śmierci Błogosławionego Męczennika.
Ksiądz Jerzy Popiełuszko pozostaje do dziś patronem chrześcijańskiej historii.
Zginął nie tylko za Polskę i „Solidarność”, ale za prawdę Chrystusową dającą autentyczną wolność. Ewangeliczną dzielnością wskazywał, że warto przezwyciężać lęk, gdyż religia chrześcijańska nie jest religią strachu, ale religią miłości. Czerpał dumę z tego, że był Polakiem i bardzo często dawał temu wyraz. Przywołując chwalebne wydarzenia i wybitne postaci z historii Polski, przypominał o obowiązkach wobec Ojczyzny i uczył gorącego patriotyzmu.

On Sunday, October 18, during the 12:30 pm Holy Mass, a solemn Mass will be celebrated marking the anniversary of the death of the Blessed Martyr.
Father Jerzy Popiełuszko remains to this day a patron of Christian history. He died not only for Poland and "Solidarity," but for the truth of Christ that brings authentic freedom. Through evangelical courage, he showed that fear is worth overcoming, for the Christian faith is not a religion of fear, but of love. He took great pride in being Polish and expressed it frequently. By invoking glorious events and prominent figures from Poland's history, he reminded people of their duties toward their Homeland and taught ardent patriotism.
