All are invited to join us for outdoor worship (weather permitting) at 10:30 am on Sunday, June 7, followed by a block party! Hot dogs and drinks will be provided. If your last name begins with:

A-J: Please bring a side dish
K-Z: Please bring a dessert

* Please bring enough for your family plus an additional 10
* Bring a neighbor and friend from another block!

We’ll have a camera set up for anyone who wishes to have their photo taken for their Realm profile. (We can do the work of uploading it for you and will also email or text the photo to you for you to keep.) In addition, we encourage you to upload your own photos to Realm so people can put faces with names. If you need assistance with this, please reach out to me, and I will be happy to walk you through the steps.

On May 31, 2026, at 3 pm, Sam Parnin will perform an organ recital here at NPCC! It will include works by J.S. Bach, Jean Langlais, Charles-Marie Widor, Dieterich Buxtehude, and more! The program will showcase a variety of styles, moods, and sounds. While the music will be the main focus, there will also be commentary on the background of the pieces and composers. All are welcome to come and enjoy!

While miraculous, Jesus’ ascension does not seem to be the main point of this story. Instead the focus is on what the disciples do as a result of what they have seen…. Because of the disciples’ experience of Jesus, they are able to go out and share his teachings of love and justice.

VBS Registration is open! Please go to the link in the comments to sign up your kids! VBS is for children in Preschool-5th grade. Children must be potty-trained. Anyone entering 6th grade and older is welcome on staff!

We welcomed Mosaic Winds, a Chicago-based woodwind quartet, as guest musicians yesterday. They accompanied the Chancel Choir and the congregation on a few songs, but they also shared this beautiful piece as the offertory music for the day.
