WHAT HINDERS THE OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?
As we continue celebrating the JIL Chicago 4th Anniversary with the theme:
“Holy Spirit Breakthrough: Overflowing in the Land”
we are reminded that God desires to pour out His Spirit upon His people. But sometimes, there are things in our hearts that block His move in our lives.
📖 The Word of God teaches us that these hinder the outpouring of the Holy Spirit:
1. Unbelief — trusting our doubts more than God’s promises.
(Mark 6:5-6)
2. Disobedience — hearing God’s Word but refusing to obey it.
(1 Samuel 15:22; James 1:22)
3. Pride — relying on us instead of humbling before God.
(James 4:6)
4. Prayerlessness — losing connection with God through lack of prayer.
(Matthew 26:41)
5. Fear — allowing fear to overpower our faith in Christ.
(1 Timothy 1:7)
Today, let us surrender every hindrance to the Lord and allow the Holy Spirit to move freely in our hearts, families, ministries, and church.
May we experience true breakthrough, overflowing joy, renewed faith, and the mighty presence of God like never before!
