This international initiative begins May 1, a day often observed in the United States as the National Day of Prayer. Rather than offering “thoughts and prayers,” The Satanic Temple encourages people worldwide to take measurable, real-world action by donating blood and directly improving lives.

According to the American Red Cross, someone in the United States needs blood every two seconds. Blood donations are essential for patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and recovery from traumatic injuries. Lifesaving care begins with a single person choosing to donate — yet only about 3% of eligible Americans donate blood each year.

TST donors have already made a significant impact.

Last year, The Satanic Temple’s American Red Cross donor team ranked 80th out of more than 70,000 teams nationwide and helped save over 20,000 lives.

As of April 2026, our team has risen to 45th place and has helped save more than 40,000 lives — a substantial increase driven by participation in last year’s campaign.

Every donation can help save multiple lives. This year, we aim to expand that impact even further through collective action.

The Satanic Good Works Campaign is proud to announce the return of this month-long international initiative beginning May 1st—a day observed in the United States as the National Day of Prayer. Rather than offering meaningless “thoughts and prayers,” The Satanic Temple is encouraging people around the world to donate blood and do measurable good.

The impact of this annual campaign continues to grow. Last year, TST’s American Red Cross donor team was ranked 80th out of 70,000 teams, saving 20,000 lives. As of March 2026, we have climbed to 46th place and have saved over 40,000 lives—much of that increase is a result of last year’s blood drive.
