**In Loving Memory of Dr. Alfloyd Butler**
It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of **Dr. Alfloyd Butler, Pastor Emeritus of Calvary Baptist Church of Chicago**.
For 40 years, Dr. Butler served faithfully as Senior Pastor, providing dedicated leadership, spiritual guidance, and unwavering devotion to God, the church, and the community. Under his leadership, Calvary Baptist Church continued to grow and flourish, touching the lives of countless members and families throughout the South Shore community.
Upon his retirement as Senior Pastor on June 30, 2017. Dr. Butler was honored as **Pastor Emeritus**, a fitting recognition of his many years of faithful service and commitment to Calvary Baptist Church.
We give thanks to God for Dr. Butler’s life, his ministry, his wisdom, and the lasting legacy he leaves with us. While our hearts are filled with sorrow, we find comfort in the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the faith he so faithfully shared.
Please keep Dr. Butler’s family, wife Pat and loved ones, the Calvary Baptist Church family, and all who were blessed by his ministry in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
