It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved, Sis. Aaliyah Presswood.
Aaliyah was a faithful part of the RE//FORM PLACE CHI family and served wholeheartedly wherever there was need. She was part of our S.H.I.E.L.D. Intercessory Team, served within Hospitality, and consistently made herself available to support the work of ministry in whatever capacity she could. She was present. She was willing. She was growing.
Aaliyah was an avid learner, an emerging Prophet, and someone who carried a genuine hunger for God and the things of the Spirit. Her passion for learning, prayer, intercession, and spiritual growth was evident to those who walked closely with her.
As a house, we are mourning together. This loss has deeply impacted our church family, leadership, and all who loved her. We ask that you continue to keep her parents, Dr. Beasley, the entire family, and our church family lifted in prayer during this incredibly difficult time.
While our hearts are grieving, we remain anchored in the faithfulness of God and the comfort of His presence. Scripture reminds us that โThe Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those crushed in spirit.โ Psalm 34:18
Please continue to respect the family with sensitivity, love, and prayer as we navigate this loss together. Funeral and memorial information will be shared at the appropriate time.
With love,
Pastor Phil, Prophet Dr. Chantel Varnado, + the entire RE//FORM PLACE CHI Leadership Team
