Archbishop Domenico Sorrentino will celebrate a Parish Mission and Mass at 11:00 AM on Sunday, Sept 6, 2026, at St. Hedwig, 2226 N. Hoyne, Chicago, IL. Please note: There will be no other Masses the weekend of September 5–6.

The mission will focus on Jesus Christ as the center of Christian life, inspired by the witness of Saint Carlo Acutis and his spiritual connection to Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi. The visit also commemorates the 800th Jubilee of Saint Francis, proclaimed by Pope Leo, and the first anniversary of Saint Carlo Acutis’ canonization.
Archbishop Sorrentino will also lead parish missions throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago during his visit.

The SCAP Men's Club "Pew's Brothers" and Women's Club "Vino and Virtue" are pleased to announce their August gatherings. See below for more information and how to RSVP

The Men’s Club will gather the following week for The Pews Brothers on Thursday, August 6th at 6:30 p.m., behind the St. Hedwig Rectory. Brats and beers will be provided as the men come together for a casual evening of fellowship. No pressure—just come as you are!

The Women’s Club will kick things off with Vino & Virtue on Thursday, August 13th at 7:00 p.m. behind the St. Hedwig Rectory. Wine and cheese will be provided for an evening of conversation, connection, and community.

Please RSVP via SignUp Genius located in the news and events tab on our website. This is so we can be sure to have plenty of food and drinks for everyone, but walk-ins are always welcome.

Each event will include a brief reading or reflection for inspiration, but the heart of these gatherings is simple: good conversation, new connections, and enjoying time together as a parish community. There is no pressure and no expectation, just come as you are. We hope you’ll join us as we begin these new parish traditions together.

As part of our ongoing commitment to stewardship and future planning, St. Carlo Acutis is conducting a campaign planning study. We warmly invite all parishioners to participate in a brief online survey by July 13. The survey takes less than five minutes to complete, and your feedback is incredibly valuable.

Some of the plans under consideration, but not finalized, include:

- Expanding school space for St. John Berchmans
- Renovating our communal gathering spaces
- Restoring our churches organs
- Investing in an inclusive and safe environment

An email invitation to the survey will be sent via Qualtrics on Monday, so please check your spam folders. If you did not receive and email, please use the link in bio (https://tinyurl.com/msvbdwf7). Thank you for helping us continue to make our parish a welcoming and hospitable space.
