💙💛 SHILOH CELEBRATES OUR FIRST LADY! 💙💛

Excellence in Leadership. A Heart for Service. A Legacy of Impact.

The Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church family proudly celebrates our very own First Lady, Principal Edwina Thompson, who was recognized today as one of only six principals honored by Chicago Public Schools during its October Board of Education meeting in celebration of National Principals Month!

What an incredible honor and a well-deserved recognition!

First Lady Thompson’s commitment to education, dedication to students, and passion for shaping young minds are a true reflection of her heart for service. Her leadership extends far beyond the walls of the school building, touching the lives of students, families, educators, and the greater community.

At Shiloh, we have the privilege of witnessing that same spirit of excellence, compassion, humility, and dedication firsthand.

We celebrate not only what you do, but who you are!

On behalf of Pastor Shaune F. Thompson and the entire Shiloh Church family, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to our First Lady on this distinguished recognition.

Your Shiloh family is GODLY PROUD of you! Keep leading, keep inspiring, and keep allowing your light to shine!

Help us congratulate First Lady Edwina Thompson! 👏🏽💙💛

🕊️ Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Deacon Hilton Chambers 🕊️

The Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church family pauses to honor the life and legacy of our beloved Deacon Hilton Chambers, our oldest church member and a treasured part of the Shiloh family.

Deacon Chambers represented a living connection to generations of faith, history, wisdom, and service. What a blessing it was to have someone among us whose life spanned more than a century!

Today, October 14, we also pause to acknowledge what would have been his 102nd birthday. While we mourn his passing, we give God thanks for the years He allowed Deacon Chambers to walk among us and for the legacy he leaves behind.

This Pastor Appreciation Month, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church celebrates our pastor, Rev. Shaune F. Thompson!

The work we see on Sunday is only part of the calling. A bi-vocational pastor serves the church while also working a job outside the church—balancing employment, sermon preparation, teaching, prayer, pastoral care, and leadership, alongside family and personal responsibilities.

Behind every sermon is preparation. Behind every hospital visit, encouraging word, and moment of comfort is time given and a heart committed to serving God’s people.

Pastor Thompson, we see your service, we appreciate your heart, and we thank God for you. We also recognize that you need time for family, rest, and renewal.

Shiloh, let’s make appreciation more than words. Pray for our pastor, encourage him, share the work of ministry, and respect his time with loved ones.

Help us show Pastor Thompson some love in the comments! Share an encouraging word or a way his ministry has blessed your life.

🎀💕 SHILOH THINKS PINK! 💕🎀

OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH! 💗

At Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, we’re turning our faith, love, and support into a powerful message of HOPE! 💕

This month, we stand together to HONOR the fighters, CELEBRATE the survivors, REMEMBER those we’ve lost, and ENCOURAGE those still on their journey. 🎀

Breast cancer has touched countless families, but no one should have to walk this journey alone.

💗 To the survivors: Your strength inspires us!

💗 To those currently fighting: We are standing with you in faith and prayer!

💗 To the families and caregivers: Your love and sacrifice do not go unnoticed!

💗 To those we’ve lost: Your memories will forever live in our hearts.

And to EVERYONE, let this be your reminder: Know your body, understand your risk, stay informed, and speak with your healthcare provider about appropriate screenings. Early detection can save lives!

🙏🏾 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

At Shiloh, we believe in the power of prayer, the importance of awareness, and the strength of community.

Because PINK is more than a color. It’s a symbol of COURAGE, COMPASSION, FAITH, and HOPE! 💪🏾🎀
