"Sounding the Spiritual Alarm
to Awaken YAH's People"

Evening Meditation:

In one of the many accounts of contention between the Messiah and the Pharisees, the Messiah declares that He is Lord of the Sabbath. Indicating that through Him the eternal promise of REST can be experienced through faith in Him, both now, and in His coming Kingdom. The REST He currently provides allows us a relief from being wearied psychologically, as we carry frustrations and worry within the heart and mind. There is relief emotionally from the hurt and grief we experience in it's many forms. There is relief spiritually by transformation of our mortal being. There is also relief physiologically, for the body. We are freed from the cares of this world. Therefore, taking the neccessary time away from our labors refreshes our whole being. These are emblematic of the hope we shall see upon Messiah's return to make all things new!

We are to operate now as if we are already seated in Heavenly places. The on-going mission is to carry out the goal of the Kingdom. RESTORATION of YAH's purpose in humanity. Our responsibility is to work toward spreading the message and the will of the Kingdom. The charge to Adam and Eve, Noah and his sons, now rest upon Believer's through the ministry of Messiah. To fill the earth with the children of GOD! To seek justice in the world, to live with a Christ-like moral ethic, and extend mercy toward others as we have received. Contemplate the following questions.

Reflective Questions:

1. How could keeping the weekly and annual Sabbath’s be helpful mechanisms for refreshing the whole person from the stress of the world?

2. Why isn't the Sabbath a focus in the Christian church?

3. Are those reasons biblically sound?

4. How have you extended the grace of Christ to someone?

5. Is offering salvation through Christ the only mission of the church?

Evening Prayer:

Eternal GOD. I thank You for establishing hope in Christ. For through Him I find relief from the troubles of my soul and the troubles all around me. I thank You for allowing me to experience now what will become a more true reality in Your coming Kingdom. As I gain new insight into what You have planned for me, I realize that I've worked too hard. I could have allowed Your truth to do the work in me. Now Father give me more opportunity in Your Kingdom so others may experience the REST I have found. In the name if Him through whom all things with be RESTORED. Yahusha Hamashiach, Jesus the Christ, I pray, Hallelujah! Amen.

"Sounding the Spiritual Alarm
to Awaken YAH's People"

Morning Meditation:

As we approach the finish line of this 10-day experience, today's devotional will be double-faceted.

The previous day indicated, YAH RENEWS His promises for the Believer through His Sabbath's. Sabbath meaning REST. The Abrahamic Covenant mirrors that future hope where YAH establishes a land for Abraham's (who is the father of faith) descendants. Our walk of faith is how we access the land of REST.

Moses and Joshua's travail's in leading Israel through their wilderness experience is also reflective of our faith journey. We learn to trust in YAH's provision through periods of lack. We learn that our past can be detrimental to our future if we look enviously upon the life we were set free from. We learn how to feast on His Word for daily sustenance. We learn of YAH's power and protection from the attack of the enemy. We even learn that family can be a road block on the path to the promise. Most of all, we find that maintaining faith is how we get there, and a lack of faith will close the door.

YAH's Commandments at Sinai was a marriage contract with Israel. These were known as the Ten Commandments or the Royal Law. These commands and all forthcoming commands were given to facilitate the nations relationship with their GOD and within a civilized community. This is where the idea of RESTORATION is derived. When there are moral breakdowns within a society, it is through a sustained relationship with the GOD of righteousness, where we gain access to the power to become the change makers in communities, cities, states, and countries. We are only powerless when we cut ourselves off from the Sovereign Power, who has placed within His Commandments how to live justly in this world, by choosing against His will. By His divine power, YAH has given us everything we need that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him!

Scripture Meditation:

Psalm 95:6-11, Numbers 14:1-10, Hebrews 4:1-4 & 9-13, Isaiah 58, Micah 6:1-8

Morning Prayer:

Dear gracious and loving Father. You are Holy, established in righteous and truth. I thank You on this day for providing atonement for my sin by the blood of the Lamb. Now I have direct access to You. You have made clear in Your Word what Your intentions are for those who have faith in You. While we wait on Your promise, it is Your precepts that are ingrained in my heart and mind, which are the catalyst for how I should live for You and love in the world. You have elevated my position by justifying me. You have also elevated my responsibility to use the power that exist in me to establish Your hope for those who have yet to experience it. In the name of Him who has gone beyond the veil in the true Temple in Heaven on my behalf. Yahusha Hamashiach, Jesus the Christ, I pray, Hallelujah! Amen.

RENEWAL

"Sounding the Spiritual Alarm
to Awaken YAH's People"

Evening Meditation:

In a longstanding commitment, it is natural for a couple to restate, or RENEW vows made with each other. Milestones mark achievements throughout the journey together. Buying a home, having a child, having another child, having another child— then acquiring a vehicle large enough for the children. Life events occur along the way. Maybe you're blessed enough to see the little "you's" you created grow up to become productive citizens within society. Or, at the very least, no longer in the liability column of monthly expenditures. You get to the point where it's just the two of you again. Regardless of how you come to that place, through tragedy, triumph, or a little bit of both, alot has changed since things first began. People change, and it's necessary to be reminded of why you're still in this relationship. RENEWAL in this sense becomes vital.

The same truth can be said of the Believer's relationship with YAH. There are achievements, life events, children, tragedies, triumphs. You change through this experience. But there is no change in YAH. We rely fully upon Him, and by His awareness of our condition, being prone to break a commitment, He requires RENEWAL of the vow made to Him. His Sabbath's are the moments the Creator desires with His creation. The irony is that though we are in a position of need, many Believer's actually believe that it is no longer necessary because of Christ.

Imagine an omniscient GOD, aware of the sin that would cause death to a creation He hadn't yet created. Imagine Him establishing a plan, before the foundations of the world, and everything that His voice speaks and His hand forms, points to that plan. Imagine that created being, that He's done all this for, telling Him that His desire for them is no longer valid.

What if we, by missing moment after moment with Him, were declaring to Him, that we no longer need Him? This realm we exist in has a way of distorting truth. Simply put, because YAH is eternal, His Word is likewise, eternal. There is hope for us in that statement if we remain committed. Contemplate the following questions.

Reflective Questions:

1. Why was YAH's Word given to Israel?

2. What happened to Israel when they abandoned YAH's covenant?

3. Why was it necessary for YAH to establish a "New" Covenant" in Blood?

Evening Prayer

Creator of all heaven and earth. It's been a long time coming. Though You never change, thankfully, I'm not the person I used to be. Throughout my walk with You I've grown by way of the challenges that strengthened my character. There were times when I almost gave up, and would've succumb to the pressure. But, by your faithfulness, You allowed me chance after chance to begin again— RENEWAL. In the name of He who has given all the hope for new life through faith in Him. Yahusha Hamashiach, Jesus the Christ, Hallelujah! Amen.

"Sounding the Spiritual Alarm
to Awaken YAH's People"

Morning Meditation:

Our journey as Believer's is often arduous, difficult at times— for extended periods. Life's seasons can extinguish the spiritual fire in a Believer, and thereby, cause us to question if there is any material benefit to a faithful devotion to YAH. The highlight of salvation after the initial receipt of grace inevitably leads to lowly, dark days. The reality is, in our walk of faith, there is a constant battle with the enemies of YAH to sustain it. It becomes imperative for the Believer to be reminded of what the Word informs when seasons change in our world.

YAH communicates to us that while troubles are certain, His season of refreshing is soon to come. Earth's astronomical seasons, ordered by YAH's hand— are too, indicative of the coming harvest. Our faith equips us to weather these changes in expectation of YAH's faithfulness while we wait. Therefore, as we continue our faith journey, He will send the necessary fuel to ignite the spirit along the way.

RENEWAL sits at the heart of YAH's overall plan for His creation. Which can only be understood if we aren't deluded or disheartened by where we are in context to that plan. Christ, has come, yes! But His work is not complete. How do we know? Because, He's coming again! The realm we exist in, even after Christ 1st coming, remains inherently evil. Despite that fact, YAH allows us to taste, and see His goodness. But, the goal is to provide seats at His table where a full feast is prepared before us. That occurs in the New Age. Therefore, we must not grow weary in well doing, for in due season, we shall reap our reward!

Scripture Meditation:

Joel 2:23-27, Hosea 6:1-3, Isaiah 40:28-31, James 5:7-8, Revelation 21:1-4

Morning Prayer:

LORD of the harvest! I thank You for bringing to mind Your faithfulness with each changing moment, days, months, seasons, and years. The journey ahead may present challenges, but, I remain committed to my walk of faith. I will not turn back, run away, nor will I veer towards another path. But, I will wait on You. You have sent provision time after time. You've protected me, when danger was lurking. You've been present when I was all alone. Therefore, all my trust is in You. In the name of He who Has prepared a path to accessing all that I need in this life and in newness to come. Yahusha Hamashiach, Jesus the Christ, I pray, Hallelujah! Amen.

Psalms 32:8-11 NLT
[8] The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. [9] Do not be like a senseless horse or mule that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control.” [10] Many sorrows come to the wicked, but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the Lord. [11] So rejoice in the Lord and be glad, all you who obey him! Shout for joy, all you whose hearts are pure!

There are times when the Word preaches itself. This is such an occasion. Contemplate the following questions for insight into why Believer's should REJOICE!

Reflective Questions

1. What does YAH intend to do in verse 8, and how will He accomplish it?

2. In verse 9, what can be a hindrance to YAH's intentions?

3. Is verse 9 revealing about your character either presently or in the past?

4. How does verse 10 distinguish the wicked and the righteous (those who trust in the LORD)?

5. Verse 11 is an invitation to REJOICE, and shout, to whom is the invitation given?

Evening Prayer

Most gracious and loving Father! I am overwhelmed with joy when I consider the many ways you've displayed your love towards me. Words of thankfulness seem insufficient. Therefore, I will display gratefulness for your providential care with every part of my being. My life I give to You. To order my steps and direct my path. You've given me new life, and for this I REJOICE! In the name of He through whom I've found unspeakable joy. Yahusha Hamashiach, Jesus the Christ, Hallelujah! Amen.

Morning Meditation:

Gaining a perspective of YAH's plan for creation is edifying in several aspects. The insight of what His future intentions are offers hope. Understanding of what He has done in the past inspires confidence. The intricacies of what He's currently doing fuels purpose. Combined these elements breed thankfulness in the hearts of the Believer. Which innately will overflow as praise and REJOICING.

The all seeing eye of YAH is always on His people. Consider creation itself as a prophetic voice declaring YAH’s plan to reestablish a dwelling with humanity. Consider His placement of Adam and Eve, in His earthly domain, the garden of Eden. Consider the covering of animal skin upon them, as a foretelling of blood sacrifice. Consider the REMNANT who found salvation in the ark, from the necessary purge of earth's evil through the washing of the flood. Consider the call of Abraham out of a rebellious nation to cultivate a righteous people. Consider His Word established with Abraham's descendants, extending the promise made, and contiuation of a Covenant RELATIONSHIP. Consider the Word becoming flesh, His life forecasted in the Scriptures, His blood shed as sacrifice, the means to which allows those who come by faith to experience YAH's presence in their lives!

The span of YAH's vision for establishing His presence in the earth is remarkable. Because of His enduring faithfulness, our response is to Him should be thankfulness through devotion to Him, and REJOICING in joyful praise.

Scripture Meditation:

Psalm 47, Psalm 148, Isaiah 65:17-19, Revelation 5:6-14

Morning Prayer
LORD of all heaven and earth, YAH is Your name! You promised to keep me in perfect peace, by Your great name. The name that is indicative of Your presence. That is why I thank you! Because even as I breathe, I am reminded of Your purpose in me. Father, my very existence I offer back to you. So, that everything that I do, resounds as a melodious chorus of praise unto You. In the name of Him in whom I have life, purpose, and hope! Yahusha Hamashiach, Jesus the Christ, I pray, Hallelujah! Amen.

"Sounding the Spiritual Alarm
to Awaken YAH's People"

Everybody talking bout heaven ain't going! Sad reality but the Scriptures provide assurance that there remains a high standard for those who will be revealed is the children of GOD. The Prophet Daniel and Apostle John were able to take a seat in YAH's heavenly courtroom as deliberation began over the affairs of humanity. What they witnessed was a detailed account of human deeds recorded in "the books".

Because of Christ, Believer's escape these judgements, and become equipped by Him to live as reflections of Him on earth. Maintaining that status is our challenge. The enemy, Satan, has every intention to deceive as he did Adam and Eve. That deception is subtle, slow and strategic. We expect it to be blatant and easily discernable. But by distorting the truth, blurring the lines between truth and fiction, Satan can easily lay a path away from the Kingdom of GOD. If heaven is our goal, then our lives must be patterned after that Heavenly Man, Christ! Contemplate the following questions to see if your path is clear.

Reflective Questions:

1. What does Paul mean when he writes, "For you are not under the law but under grace? (The answer is found in Romans 6:14 NKJV)

2. How can we guard against receiving deceptive doctrine?

3. How have you seen your environment affect how you live for YAH?

4. What would you say has been a significant change or difference in your life since confessing Christ?

Evening Prayer:

Oh Sovereign Ruler of heaven and earth! Since nothing is hidden from Your sight and Your judgements are true, I come before You asking for help. I exist in a realm that day by day makes attempts to discredit my witness of You. I ask that You preserve me in Your truth. Give me discernment of false actors in my life that seek to divert the path You have provided. A path of righteousness. In the name of He who has given access to Your dwelling by the shedding of His blood. Yahusha Hamashiach, Jesus the Christ, I pray, Hallelujah! Amen.

"Sounding the Spiritual Alarm
to Awaken YAH's People"

Morning Meditation:

Psalm 137:4 illustrates the difficulty of existing in an environment, society, or culture that is far removed from where YAH intended to cultivate a righteous people. Environment plays a significant role in how we think, live, and perceive the world around us. The writer of the Psalm is exasperated by the state of his people who were of a righteous stock, but by unrighteousness, fell victim to the oppressive rule of a foreign nation. The affect for Judah was felt in many ways. Loss of their native land, existence as a sovereign nation, loss of national identity, and a connection with their GOD.

Thankfully, through Christ, we who profess faith in Him, are called to divorce ourselves from our prior heritage to receive a new identity. However, much like the Psalmist, we still exist in a land foreign to us. This world is not our home! The challenge is remaining righteous while our environment that is steeped in unrighteousness. This makes the need to exist in a local church more vital in our era, for growth amongst like-minded people. How can we sing the songs of the LORD while in a pagan land? Much of the world around us is a threat to our citizenship in YAH's Kingdom.

We can take another lesson from the Psalmist dilemma. It was due to the iniquity of those who where called to be holy that he found himself in this predicament. Which means that every Christian ain't like Christ. YAH's Word is the rule by which His people must measure their lives, not the opinions of men. Be careful, watchful, discerning about whom you follow, and the roads traveled. They just may lead to destruction. Only a Remnant will be saved!

Scripture Meditation:

Isaiah 10:20-23, Jeremiah 30:4-10, Matthew 7:13-14 & 21-27, Revelation 3:11-13

Morning Prayer:

Father YAH! This world I live in has done it's best to distort my understanding of You, and distract my focus on You. This is why I must call on You by name. To be reminded of Your nature. You are holy, righteous, just, and good. The gods of this world attempt to mimic your ability. Seeking to sever our relationship by charging me with sin. That's why You left me Your Word. So that when I'm lost I can find my way. That's why You left me your Spirit, so You can lead me to Your truth. I pray Father that You find my witness of You in this world worthy. In the name of Him who showed me how to live for You. Yahusha Hamashiach, Jesus the Christ, I pray, Hallelujah! Amen.

"Sounding the Spiritual Alarm
to Awaken YAH’s People"

Isaiah 28:10 NKJV gives indication of YAH's method of teaching His people. It says,
[10] For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little.”

What's interesting about the passage in Isaiah, is that the words are not the prophets instruction. Neither is Isaiah penning a fresh oracle from YAH. The words come from the mouths of the people, Israel and Judah— the elect. They've grown weary of YAH's persistence in teaching His truth, so, they mock His Word. Instead of feeding on His Word they've been filled with wine, become unstable in their ways, error in understanding YAH's revelation, they make questionable decisions, and exist in the filth they've created.

It seems odd for someone that has an, "if it had not been for the LORD on my side" testimony, to ridicule the Hand that has provided for them. However, once you've "made it" it can be quite easy to become prideful and forget that your position did not come by your ability. We all must be reminded of where our strength comes from. So that we maintain it and don't disregard it's value. Contemplate the following questions to test your spiritual metal.

Reflective Questions

1. In the days between worship services, how often do you hear, read or study the Bible?

2. Have you made choices out of personal desire without considering the wise counsel an omniscient GOD (YAH's Word)?

3. How well would you say those decisions worked out for you? (be honest with yourself)

4. Have you ever been obstinate (unwilling or resistant to change) when YAH's Word has informed a necessary course correction?

5. Can a person say they have a strong relationship with YAH if His Word isn't hidden in the heart, as the Psalmist suggests?

Evening Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the LORD my soul to keep! Father, from my youth you've kept me. Now I need more awareness of You. I find it necessary to seek You daily, for it is in You, in whom I live, move, and have my being. Strengthen me, fortify my witness of you as the enemy seeks my life. I don't want to bring shame upon You and Your great name. I desire for my life to be a testimony to other's. That I made it with the LORD’s help! I thank You now for Your Son, who has provided me direct access to You. It is in His name, Yahusha Hamashiach, Jesus the Christ, I pray, Hallelujah. Amen.

"Sounding the Spiritual Alarm
to Awaken YAH's People"

Morning Meditation:

Humans are creatures of habit. We set alarms on our devices to assist with making certain we're attacking our daily tasks. Raise your hand if you set 3 alarms because the first 2 are merely suggestions to wake up and get going 🤚🏾. Maintaining healthy habits is an aid to becoming proficient in our responsibilities. Eventually, with enough dedication, an individual can make hard jobs seem like child's play. Those tasks that began as rote or regimented are now instinctual— apart of your being.

The Shema Prayer of Deuteronomy 6 was given to inspire devotion to the One true GOD. Making it a focal point of their daily lives developed the thinking and actions of YAH's chosen people. The constant practice of the precepts help to strengthen faith. So, that when faith is tried and tested, the response is patterned after the perfect will of YAH.

Falling out of practice can be detrimental. Bad habits develop and our choices can skew towards things that risk our relationship with YAH. Like, restarting a diet, or returning to the gym after a long layoff. It seems harder to get going again than when you first began.

Thankfully, when we fall, YAH is merciful and willing to extend His hand to bring us back to Him. Hence, the term REFORTIFY. YAH's pattern of faithfulness is woven into the fabric of creation, and His Word. To communicate what He will do, and what He requires from His children, faithfulness. We grow stronger when we are dedicated. Our faith doesn't grow in size and span but becomes firmly rooted and focused in Him.

Scripture Meditation:

Joshua 1:6-8, Nehemiah 8:1-3, 6, 8-12, Isaiah 28:10, Psalm 119:9-16, & 105-112, Ephesians 6:10-18

Morning Prayer:

Sovereign LORD of creation. I thank You for establishing Your Word for me and placing it in me by the work of Christ. I find strength, in Your Word. I find confidence, in Your Word. I find help, in Your Word. I find hope, in Your Word. When life presents a challenge, a tempestuous storm, keep me grounded in You. Embolden my character, so that I don't bend, sway, nor shift when the winds of change blow. In the name of Him through whom I can accomplish all things. Yahusha Hamashiach, Jesus the Christ, I pray, Hallelujah! Amen.

"Sounding the Spiritual Alarm
to Awaken YAH's People"

The covenant relationship with Israel, that was etched on stone tablets by the finger of YAH, were given so the nation can have exactly what they needed to thrive. Likewise, the Covenant in Christ blood, was etched in our hearts and minds. YAH placed it there strategically to repair the brokenness within what keeps us from having a commited relationship with Him. What is key to that relationship is our faith expressed in how we live. We show we are truly in love with someone when we maintain fidelity to them. With YAH that is reflected as obedience to Him, His Word. Love can be described as such, it is what you do, and what you don’t do. Contemplate the following questions to examine where your heart is.

Reflective Questions:

1. Have you struggled with living in a Christ-like manner after confessing faith in Him?

2. What would you say is the reason why someone may find it difficult to continue growth as a Christian? Examples may be temptation, environment, knowledge of GOD, complacency...

3. Can judgement or the fear of being judged by one's peers or church community also contribute to a believer's spiritual growth?

4. Relinquishing self-will to surrender to the will of YAH is a daily effort. What makes that process easier to say and understand but harder to accomplish?

5. Would other forums, outside of a weekly church service, benefit your walk in Christ?

Evening Prayer:

Heavenly Father, words cannot express how I appreciate your longsuffering and steadfast commitment to me. It is only by your merciful nature that I have not been consumed. Now I consider how You must feel when I neglect Your calling for my own self interest. When my heart was pulled away from You to seek after it's lust. But Father, You've shown me what true love looks like when you sent Your Son who was devoted to Your purpose for Him. I thank You for allowing me to see the error within me and experiencing Your love in a new way. In the name of Him who now abides with me. Yahusha Hamashiach, Jesus the Christ, I pray, Hallelujah! Amen.

Days of Awe Devotional
Morning Session Day 5
RELATIONSHIP

"Sounding the Spiritual Alarm
to Awaken YAH's People"

Morning Meditation:

Have you ever heard the phrase, "If I waited for you it would never get done!"? This phrase, clearly born out of a fit of frustration, illustrates how relationships can be one-sided. One party always carrying the bulk of responsibility. Or, always having to provide an escape plan when trouble comes. Always having to pay the bills. Or, always being the faithful one, while the other half has an issue maintaining fidelity. Why remain committed to someone like that? Why not cut your losses and move on?

The irony with YAH is that He was aware that the relationship He desired with His creation would not be equitable. He knew He'd bear the brunt of responsibility. He had figured in an escape plan for His beloved. He had already set aside means to pay the cost for sin. All He desires from His creation is loyalty, and yet, we struggle with being faithful. If He waited on us, His plan would never be accomplished. That's why He took the initiative to reestablish a relationship with us. YAH has satisfied His end of the covenant. He still desires loyalty, He still wants us to trust Him. He's already proven Himself faithful and He's waiting to receive us with open arms.

Scripture Meditation:

Isaiah 54:5-10 NLT, Hosea 2:19-23 NLT, Jeremiah 31:31-34, John 3:13-17, John 15:9-14

Morning Prayer:

Loving and gracious Father! It is difficult to comprehend the depths of your compassion toward me. Why do You keep helping me? Why do You keep covering me? Your Word informs how much You've done to ensure I'm never lost nor lonely. Because it is Your desire to dwell in me. It is now my charge to abide in You. I thank You for extending Your hand of love towards me. Your response to my unfaithfulness was establishing a covenant relationship through Christ. My response is, I do! In the name of He who died for me. Yahusha Hamashiach, Jesus the Christ, I pray, Hallelujah! Amen.
