Salam Alaikum parents,
Rumija Islamic Center is launching a new Youth Class Series for teens (Ages 13 (or 8th grade) to High School), open to youth from all džemats!
Being a teenager today isn't easy. While working through their own personal growth and identity, our youth are constantly navigating intense societal pressures, school culture, and outside influences. They need a grounded environment where they can tackle these challenges with confidence and conviction.
Why This Matters for Our Teens:
Moving Beyond the Basics: Mekteb gives kids the foundation, but teenagers need guided discussions that address young adulthood, modern peer pressures, and real-world situations.
Understanding the "Why": Rather than just learning routines, youth explore the reasoning, beauty, and wisdom behind Islamic principles so their faith becomes personal and resilient.
Navigating the Western World: Practical discussions on identity, ethics, school culture, and standing firm in their values without feeling isolated.
A Grounded Peer Community: Surrounding teens with peers on the same journey creates lasting friendships, community ties, and a healthy sense of belonging. Open to youth from all džemat backgrounds.

⏰ Time: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Runs through December)
