From June 8–13, Claretians Missionaries from across the USA-Canada Province are gathered in Assembly as Prophets of Justice.

Together, we are praying, reflecting, and planning as we draft a missionary project of evangelization to guide our ministries in the years ahead.

Please keep us in your prayers, that the Holy Spirit may guide our discernment and inspire us to respond faithfully to God's call.

What makes a missionary?
Our charism is a gift from the Spirit, conforming us to Jesus and uniting us in his apostolic mission.
We are called to move beyond words: to turn our faith into action and build God’s Kingdom here and around the world. Are you called to be a missionary and set the world on fire with God's love? Find out at beaclaretian.org

MAY 31 - JUNE 2, 2026 CLARET HOUSE

We were truly blessed to welcome Fr. Pedro Belderrain from the General Government to our community. His visit brought a spirit of hope, renewal, and communion. Fr. Pedro generously spent time with each of us, listening attentively, sharing his wisdom, and helping us gain a deeper appreciation for the exciting initiatives and vision unfolding throughout our Congregation.

His presence was especially meaningful as he joined us in celebrating Fr. Tom’s 50 years of faithful priestly ministry and visited both the Catholic Theological Union and Claret Center. We are grateful for his encouragement, his fraternal presence, and his inspiring witness to our shared Claretian mission.

Grateful for the MICLA Meeting of Claretian Formators and students (Claretians of the Americas), held in Córdoba, Argentina (April 19–24).

Our province was well represented by Fr. Javier Reyes, Prefect of Formation; Fr. Bibin Mathew, a formator; and our student Juan Carlos Betancourt.

A true time of the Spirit, renewing our commitment to a more missionary, intercultural, and transformative formation.

DO YOU WANT TO FAST THIS LENT?

Fast from hurting words and say kind words.
Fast from sadness and be filled with gratitude.
Fast from anger and be filled with patience.
Fast from pessimism and be filled with hope.
Fast from worries and have trust in God.
Fast from complaints; contemplate simplicity.
Fast from pressures and be prayerful.
Fast from bitterness; fill your hearts with joy.
Fast from selfishness and be compassionate.
Fast from grudges and be reconciled.
Fast from words; be silent and listen.

The retreat came to a close, and we leave with a renewed sense of hope.

We are challenged to be prophets of hope, reading the signs of the times, trusting that even in this change of an epoch, God is at work. In a world marked by deep transformation, fear, and longing, we choose hope: believing that the Spirit continues to surprise us and call us toward communio, unity with God, one another, and all creation.

May we listen with open hearts and courageously respond to God’s prophetic call today.

Day 3 | PROPHETS OF JUSTICE

Today we traced the prophetic journey of Jesus, from suffering beginnings, to extravagant mercy, and finally to unyielding hope.

Born into vulnerability and rejection, shaped by faith in the quiet courage of Maryam and Yosef, Jesus proclaims a revolutionary Good News: you are God’s Habibi, the Beloved. He lives this truth by restoring dignity, welcoming the outcast, and revealing a love that heals and makes all things new.

We ended anchored in hope, not optimism, but the deep, prophetic trust that faces the storm and still believes in the coming dawn. With Jesus as our unseen anchor, we are sent forth to live and proclaim this Good News, becoming a small but real sign of God’s new creation.

Province Retreat – Day 2

A day to pause, reflect, pray, and enjoy one another’s company. We were challenged by a powerful message on our prophetic vocation in today’s world: to hold God’s dream for humanity in one hand and the pain of our broken world in the other.

Prophets live with compassion that burns like fire, entering the sorrow of others, loving from the inside, and trusting God’s tender mercy to make all things new. Costly, yes, but it leads to life in abundance, joy, and hope.

“Behold, I make all things new.” (Rev 21:5)
