When chaos reigns, a mother's voice can bring calm. This powerful scripture, 'Great is the peace of my children and they are taught of the Lord,' quiets the storm and ushers in divine peace.

GOD IS OBLIGATED TO BRING IT TO PASS

Now, all week, we've been building toward this: divine desire is the God-given pull that moves us from where we are to where He wants us to be, and it's revealed by what we're truly drawn to — not just what we say we want. So how do you actually get it? Psalms 37:3–5 (KJV) says: "Trust in the Lord, and do good… Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

Three key words: trust, delight, commit — all three directed at the Lord. To delight means submission, bending your life to His will, making Him your highest priority. When I do that, God places those divine desires in my heart Himself — I don't manufacture them. Proverbs 16:3 in the Amplified Classic says He "will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to his will".

Proverbs 10:24 (KJV) says, "The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted." That's a promise — God will grant the desires of the righteous. Jesus said it in Mark 11:24 (KJV): "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." But those things have to be according to His will — that's the boundary. So let Him put the desire in you; don't try to make it happen yourself.

So that's the whole process: trust, delight, commit — and let God do what only He can do. Stop trying to force things to happen, and start giving Him the time to build the foundation of faith underneath you. This week, spend time delighting in Him first, and trust that both the desire and the path to it are His to place — not yours to manufacture.

When challenges arise, you might feel the urge to retreat. But don't let the devil attack your identity. Stand firm in who you are, especially when it comes to your possessions and your sense of self.

YOUR DESIRE REVEALS WHERE YOU REALLY ARE

You should know that DIVINE desire is the internal pull God gives us to move from where we are... to where He wants us to be — and that desire, more than our words, shows what's really going on inside of us. That's why Proverbs 4:23 (KJV) matters so much: "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." The New Living Translation says it this way — your heart "determines the course of your life" (Proverbs 4:23, NLT). The INNER you is the REAL you. What you allow to get in you, good or bad, will influence the course of your life. And Proverbs 13:20 (KJV) says, "He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed." The CEV puts it simply — "wise friends make you wise, but you hurt yourself by going around with fools" (Proverbs 13:20, CEV).

Now look at Luke 16:19 and 21 (KJV). There was a certain rich man clothed in purple and fine linen, and a certain beggar named Lazarus, laid at his gate, "desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table." Lazarus died and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom — he was saved. But being saved doesn't mean automatic access to the abundant, blessed life. Maybe Lazarus didn't know what was laid up for him. Either way, his desire showed where he was — happy just to eat the scraps.

So the question isn't just what you want — it's who's shaping what you want, and whether you've settled for scraps somewhere God never intended you to. Your influence and your desire will always tell the truth, whether or not your mouth does. This week, take an honest look at both.

When the devil whispers doubt, speak God's truth. 'By His stripes, I am healed.' 'All my needs are met.' Open your mouth and declare it.

Deceived into forgetting her true identity. The enemy attacks who you are, and when you doubt, you surrender. Remember who you are.
