With the permission of the family, it is with deep sadness that we share the passing of one of our beloved and faithful members, Deacon Wendell Anders.

Deacon Anders served God and this church family with dedication, humility, and unwavering faith. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy that will continue to impact those who knew and loved him.

We ask that you keep Deaconess Raquel Snyder-Anders and the entire Anders family in your prayers during this time of bereavement.

For those who are unable to attend in person, the Homegoing Celebration Service will be streamed LIVE TOMORROW, May 30th, 2026, at 11 AM on Facebook and via Zoom.

Please be advised that, in accordance with the family’s wishes, the visitation will NOT be streamed. Only the Homegoing Service will be available for viewing.

WHAT A FELLOWSHIP‼️🙌🏾🔥

One week later, and we’re’re still rejoicing over what God did during our Annual Fellowship Weekend with our sister church—Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cedar Rapids, Iowa!

From the powerful worship, unforgettable singing, heartfelt fellowship, and the undeniable move of God—this weekend was nothing short of AMAZING. We are especially grateful for Pastor Ray A.L. Coleman Jr. and the powerful word he brought forth. His message blessed our hearts, challenged our spirits, and reminded us of the faithfulness of God in every season.

The love, unity, and spirit shared throughout the weekend reminded us once again why this fellowship means so much year after year.

To everyone who came, served, sang, supported, and worshipped with us—THANK YOU! Your presence helped make the weekend unforgettable.

Now, we look ahead with excitement as we prepare for next year—when CMBC makes our way to Cedar Rapids! We can’t wait to reunite again, worship together, and continue this beautiful fellowship.
