As we come together in love and remembrance, let us continue to pray and seek God’s presence on behalf of the James family and the entire New Mount Calvary family.

May God continue to strengthen us, comfort us, and carry us through this time of transition as we honor the life, ministry, and legacy of our beloved Bishop James.

40 DAYS OF PRAYER | DAY 1

Beginning today, we will embark upon 40 Days of Prayer, meeting in prayer at Noon each day. Throughout this period, a specific prayer and Scripture will guide our daily time of seeking God.

DAY 1 PRAYER

“Lord, reveal Your presence to me today.”

Scripture: Psalm 27:8 “My heart says of you, ‘Seek his face!’ Your face, Lord, I will seek.”

We encourage every member, our friends and family to set aside time at Noon to join us in prayer, wherever you may be. Let us seek the face of God, deepen our relationship with Him, and remain united in prayer throughout these 40 days.

Day 1 begins today.

As we begin a new week, let’s remember that God is still God. He is still faithful. He is still keeping us. And He is still working, even in seasons when our hearts are heavy.

“Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
— Lamentations 3:22–23

Take a deep breath this morning. Give God your heart, your worries, your questions, and your praise.

We are still here. We are still praying. We are still believing. And we are still trusting God. ❤️
