🌟 NOLA Missions Trip Day 4 LAST DAY RECAP🌟
▪️ We started the morning with a powerful devotional led by Danielle, one of our 201ers, setting the tone for a day centered on service, compassion, and the presence of God.
▪️ Afterward, we headed to the Wynhoven Senior Home, where we shared a meal with the elderly residents, listened to their stories, and built meaningful connections. Our youth and leaders prayed with them, encouraged them, and shared the hope of Jesus and the gospel.
▪️ From there, we served the homeless community by providing meals, offering prayer, and engaging in intentional one-on-one conversations.
▪️ After serving, we headed to Bethany’s fav spot for snowballs. We then headed to the French Quarter where the youth explored downtown New Orleans, purchased souvenirs, and enjoyed time together taking in the beauty and culture of the city. They took pictures by the church, reflected on the day, and Jenaya even caught a lizard by the lake 🦎🤭
▪️ We then returned for dinner and closed the night with a powerful worship service. What was expected to be a 40 minute session turned into nearly two hours of worship. During that time, many of our youth experienced freedom, breakthrough, and a deep encounter with God. Testimonies were shared, prayers were lifted, and youth prayed over one another.
🤍 It was a beautiful to witness the community forming among the youth. Seeing them grow closer to each other, stronger in their faith, and more confident in the Lord. We also saw trust being built between leaders and students in a deeper way.
🤍 Day Four was marked by unity, healing, boldness, and the undeniable presence of God moving among us.
