TENx10 Together, we're making faith matter more to teenagers. ❌

We’re a diverse group of Jesus followers, a mosaic of cultures, ethnicities, beliefs, and backgrounds saying yes to follow where we believe God is already leading; A collaborative discipleship movement, rallying all parts of the Church to reimagine how we form the faith of young people — together. We don’t agree on everything, but what we have in common is clear: Young people matter to God, the ch

urch, and us. Motivated by John 17:20-23, dozens of Christian leaders have prayed for three years about how God can use the unity of the body of Christ to accomplish what we could not achieve on our own. Energized by these hopes, a collaborative team of leaders from the Fuller Youth Institute, Life. Church, the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry, Orange, Pinetops Foundation, and the Urban Outreach Foundation is guiding TENx10's efforts to change how we disciple young people.

“Are we good enough?” — it’s a question too many Asian American churches have quietly carried.

This AANHPI Heritage Month, we’re honoring the beauty, complexity, and calling of communities who are faithfully shepherding the next generation while still finding themselves.

That work matters. Your identity matters. And these conversations matter.

Happy AANHPI Heritage Month. 🧡

You’re probably already seeing it. Not in statistics, but in real conversations, quiet withdrawals, and moments where you weren’t sure what to say.

And the research backs up what you’re noticing. Rates of anxiety and depression among young people have been rising steadily for over a decade. The U.S. Surgeon General has called loneliness a public health crisis. Research suggests 75% of all anxiety disorders develop before age 21.

You don’t have to have all the answers to make a difference. Showing up, consistently and calmly, matters more than you think.

Where are you seeing this show up in your ministry right now?

When a teen is struggling, the most powerful thing you can do isn’t fix it — it’s show up and make them feel seen.

They’re not always looking for answers. They’re looking to know their feelings matter.

That’s where mentorship begins.

“Growing up, I was never really exposed to different views — not at church, not in my community. It wasn’t until college that I realized I didn’t know how to engage with people who believed differently than me.”

That’s exactly why these conversations matter. Breaking The Algorithm is coming — and we can’t wait.

The right tools don’t just teach — they open doors, build trust, and keep you present in the moments that shape a young person forever.

Show up equipped, show up consistent, and watch a life change simply because you were there.

The Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander church is not one story — it’s thousands.

Stories of ancestors who crossed oceans carrying their faith, their language, their longing. Of communities that rebuilt after exclusion and erasure. Of second-generation kids holding two worlds in tension. Of young leaders today who refuse to leave any part of themselves at the door.

This May, we don’t just celebrate — we commit.

To sitting with the complexity. To learning the history we weren’t taught. To recognizing that understanding these communities isn’t a detour from the work of the Kingdom — it IS the work of the Kingdom.

God’s heart has always been in this space. Our work is to slow down, lean in, and let these stories shape us.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month — and the church has a role to play. 💙

Depression and anxiety among teenagers aren’t slowing down. As youth leaders, we have an opportunity to create spaces where students don’t have to choose between their faith and their mental health struggles.

We’re sharing this resource from Fuller Youth Institute as a reminder that mental health-friendly ministry isn’t complicated — it starts with showing up, staying in the boat, and letting students know they’re not alone.

Young people don’t just want leaders who know them — they want leaders who understand where they’re coming from. That means recognizing how diverse and dynamic this generation is, taking their ideas seriously, and showing up as a genuine support system rather than just an authority figure.

Social media has expanded the way Gen Z sees the world. The leaders who get that — and meet them there — are the ones who make a real difference.

Mental health challenges among young people aren’t new. But the conversation is finally catching up to what ministry leaders have been seeing for years.

Anxiety that doesn’t turn off. Loneliness even in a crowd. Students who seem fine until they’re not.

You don’t have to have all the answers to show up well. Presence matters more than expertise.

What are you seeing in your context?
