Single & S*xually active in Perilous Times .
2Timothy,3:1-Perilous, chalepos (Kliol -ep -oss); Harsh, savage, difficult, dangerous, painful, fierce, grievous, hard to deal with. The word describes a society that is barren of virtue but abounding with vices.
Paul exhorts Timothy to continue in the gospel in the face of great increase of evil in the last days. The time from the first appearing of Christ until His second coming. (Acts 2:17, 1 Timothy 4:1/ Hebrews 1:1-2, 1Peter 1:20),
(1 John 2:18), people will be characterized by all kinds of self centered and unnatural perversion; some will maintain an outward pretence speaking the vocabulary of Christianity but refusing the reality that Christian faith expresses (v. 5) the power they deny is the heart of a risen redeemer, the truth of the inspired word and the in dwelling and overflowing of the Holy Spirit working within believers and transforming their lives.
The false teachers are compared to Jammed and Jamboree's Egyptian magicians who opposed Mosesbecause of their base and perverted minds (Exodus7), If are to be men and women of God we are to make our lives a living sacrifice, laying aside our flesh learning how to submit to the will of God opposed to the flesh.
S*x has no place in our lives as singles according to scripture the bed is defiled to the unmarried, to the homosexual a bed in hell is prepared for you; unless change come before death or Christ's return (1Cor. 6:9). Those having a form of godliness are those who creep up on and those who are caught in unawares because of their load of sins already present within them, making way for the enemy to carry them away to an everlasting turmoil and pain of no return.
