The Christian Church Capital Area is a regional ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), part of the universal Body Of Christ.

Regional ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), serving 39 congregations in MD, DE, DC, NoVA, and E/WV, 170 clergy, 2 Social Justice orgs, 2 campus ministries. Our Region consists of 39 congregations in Maryland, Delaware, the District of Columbia, northern Virginia, and the eastern panhandle of West Virginia, 170+ clergy, 2 Camp & Conference Centers, 3 Social Justice organization

The Regional Office is the hub for a network of resources and services to help our congregations, clergy and laity, and institutions live out their faith, witness, and ministry to God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit in their unique contexts and communities.

Thought-provoking presentations on faith, culture, history, and the Disciples tradition. Our preacher for the event is Rev. John Ballenger who will be speaking on the theme: You'll Know Them by Their Fruits: Assessing the harm of Christian nationalism. His sermons are insightful and leave you with hope and ways to grow in thought and spirit with tools for living your faith in this world. We will also have workshops on various topics, including the arts and the history of the Chautauqua movement and Disciples in Bethany. Specifics TBD.

Live Music
Our musician for the event is Sarah Williams, a singer/songwriter from Nashville, now living in Northern Virginia. She will bring her talents to our worship services and will be joined by local musicians who will leave us inspired and filled with the spirit. From sacred music to folk and contemporary styles. Come ready to sing and hear powerful performances.
