MID-WEEK PONDER 💙
Romans 13:8–10 — “Love Your Neighbor as Yourself”

“Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Those words from Romans 13 sound simple enough—but what might they look like if we truly lived them out?

Here at Walter Chapel United Methodist Church, we are a small, friendly congregation striving to do just that: Love Like Jesus.

And that love isn’t limited to the people who walk through our doors.

Whether you worship with us every Sunday, used to worship with us, have never been to Walter Chapel UMC, or simply happened to come across this post today—we want you to know something:

You are loved. You matter. And you are welcome here. ❤️

If you’re carrying something heavy this week, celebrating something joyful, feeling lonely, facing a difficult decision, or simply need someone to pray with you, we would be honored to pray for you.

You don’t have to be a member.
You don’t have to have all the answers.
You don’t even have to walk through our doors.

This week, may we all look for one small way to Love Like Jesus.

MID-WEEK PONDER:

Will You Follow?

While traveling in Dover, a group of friends hired a taxi to take them to an overlook where they planned to hike the beautiful trail along the White Cliffs of Dover. Instead, the driver dropped them along the side of the road and pointed toward an open field.

“This is the way to the lighthouse,” he told them.

The only problem? There was no lighthouse in sight, and the field was on private property.

One of the ladies hesitantly asked, “So…are you sure we’re not going to get arrested?”

“No, no! It’s okay. Look at the path. A lot of people use it.” said the Taxi Driver.

And sure enough, there was a well-worn path through the field….

These ladies followed the trail and ended up at the lighthouse (not in a London prison).

They spent the day on the scenic trail winding along the beautiful and peaceful White Cliffs of Dover, creating both beautiful memories and pictures.

Walter Chapel United Methodist Church would like to wish all the teachers, support staff, administration, and especially the students, a happy and healthy school year.

As backpacks are filled, lessons are planned, buildings are readied, and cafeterias are opened, we pray a spirit of protection, learning, relationships, fun, and growth upon all who, in the next couple of weeks, prepare to enter the doors of educational institutions for another school year.

We are holding all in the light and love of prayer. 💚🙏

May this be a year filled with new and exciting learning, meaningful relationships, joyful moments, and growth for all.
