Costa Rica Trip Update

Thank you all for your many prayers and support of our recent trip to Costa Rica! We were able to take a large team 7 team members from Convergence Church in Cincinnati, Ohio and 7 team members from Leamington Christian Centre in Ontario Canada. This was a wonderful opportunity to partner with the local church in Aguas Zarcas. Pastor Jenner and His wife, Audriana of Praise Center Church were wonderful hosts for our team.

Their desire is build strong relationship with the schools in their community. We partnered with their efforts to teach interactive character building lessons such as having integrity, the difference between happiness and joy, obedience, truthfulness, choosing good friends, and trustworthiness. Much like in the United States Costa Rica has tried to separate religion from the education system. However, we were able to distribute kid friendly gospel tracts in all but 1 of the 7 school we ministered in. The best part was, as soon as we handed out our "gifts" (which included a piece of candy, a sticker, and a tract) the children immediately opened the tracts and read them! Praise the Lord!

We also ministered in 3 other churches in the area through preaching the word and many people received ministry at the altar. We ministered to the leaders of the host church on Friday evening. On Sunday morning we divided the team in half and ministered in 2 different churches. Both services were dynamic for the congregations and our team members as the Spirit of God moved powerfully. This was our first time taking a team to Costa Rica. Our intentions were to build stronger relationships here in order that we could bring more teams in the future. We believe this goal was successfully accomplished!

We have had a class of 40 students graduate from the sewing school in Jaggampeta, India. Many of these woman have had no way of supporting themselves or their families. This school is life saving. When a class graduates each graduate receives a sewing machine costing $100. Eight sewing machines have already been bought. They still need $3200.00 to buy the remaining 32 machines.

God With US India has a need for a motorcycle. This need will cost $1000.00.

TESTIMONIES

We just want to report that even though there is a lot of political upheaval in India currently Apostle Finney Samuel reports that the churches are growing and buildings are being extended and built. We are seeing the testimony of God's work.

On our previous trip a year ago, a couple had been trying to have a child for 5 years and were prayed for by Pastor Mike. They just recently welcomed a set of twins into their family.

On our last trip in February 2024 Pastor Rachel was preaching at an opening air meeting and a leader of a Christian opposing political party received Christ as his Lord and was water baptized.

March 2023 Newsletter

Greetings my friends,

Well, it’s been a long time since I have sent out a newsletter, sorry I didn’t update you sooner.

Quite honestly, we have been running quite the race since returning from India. I have much to share with you from that powerful trip.
Our team consisted of Mike, Todd and Mary Ellis, and Daniel Carranza. Our flights converged in Hyderabad India, where we were hosted by Pastor Dhanraj Kota of New Jerusalem Ministries. We visited for three days with Pastor Kota. We ministered in his Bible School, a Pastors conference, and on Sunday Pastor Mike and Daniel were at Pastor Kota’s church, while Pastors Todd and Mary went to a sister church to minister. We were blessed to pray for many in those three days. We are still waiting for the testimonies from our time there.

Next, we went to Pastors Finny and Eunice’s, our Apostles of God With Us India. We were overjoyed to see an answered prayer upon our arrival. On his last visit to India Pastor Mike and Pastor Todd had prayed for the Lord to provide Pastors Finny and Eunice with a house of their own. That is an unheard-of possibility for Pastors in India, but one of the incredible by-products of Covid has been the opportunity for the government to help low-income individuals be able to own property and build a house on it. This is done through low interest home loans to low-income families.

The first part of this miracle was for an individual in Pastor Finny’s church who came to ask for prayer to sell some property that was next to the church. All the lots were sold except the one right next to the church. People didn’t want to buy it because it was next to the church. So, the individual selling the land, deeded the property to Pastor Finny and Eunice for their own use.

A banker in their town was stricken with Covid and Pastor Finny prayed for him and the Lord healed that banker. He, the banker, told Pastor Finny about the government helping low-income people build homes. Pastor Finny said he had no down payment but, the banker said, “no problem, the government had grants for that.” So, Pastor Finny filled out the paperwork and the bank approved his application for a loan. They have built a beautiful home with a second-floor apartment to host teams who come for ministry. Their house payment is $61.00 US. That my friends is a miracle!

This was the first of many miracles we were to see on this trip. I will try to recap our trip as briefly as possible.

Our first outreach was to Jaggampeta where Pastor Surrendra Kumar has a ministry, known as His Ministries. We help with a sewing school there. Each year they hold two Sewing Schools a year.

They run for five months each and many Muslims and Hindu ladies take the class. Not only do they learn a trade but, they also come to Christ. At graduation they are awarded a sewing machine and some material to start their business. We help with this part of the ministry by helping to purchase sewing machines for the graduates. Each machine is $100. We invite you to partner with us in this endeavor.

At Pastor Surrendra’s ministry we ministered to the current school of students. We had many come to Christ and saw some incredible healings. Two women were healed from breast issues, one had a mass that disappeared, and mothers who could not produce milk for their babies were healed. These testimonies came while we were still in India.

After that meeting, we had a Pastor’s conference. The pastors were touched and encouraged by the Word that was spoken. We prayed for these pastors and several received healing. One pastor could not sleep without the aid of medication for 4 years but, he testified a few days later that he had not had to take medication for 3 days and was sleeping peacefully once again.

That evening we did a crusade in this little town and had over 700 people come out to hear the Word of God. We had over 50 come to Christ and many were baptized in Holy Spirit. We prayed for many who were demon possessed and the Lord delivered them all!

This is how our meetings started and this was the standard for all the meetings that followed. Every service saw many saved and baptized in Holy Spirit (we estimated at least 40-70 in every open-air meeting). Many demon-possessed were set free.

We also saw many salvations, baptisms in Holy Spirit, and healings in the churches we ministered in. So many that I can’t take the time to share them all.

Pastor Mike told our team that this trip had more fruit in healings and deliverances than he had ever seen in any previous trips to India.

As this letter is being typed we are sitting here in our house with Pastor Finny who has come for the Word Conf. at WHCC. He is reminding us of all that the Lord is doing in India. From January of last year GWUI has planted 10 new churches. Crusades are happening as much as twice a month in new areas. God is moving in India.

Pastor Mike is preparing to leave for Costa Rica on March 17. It will be his fourth trip there. He is traveling as a guest with Pastor Dan Tamburo and a team of other seasoned ministers.

In April he will be traveling to Mexico for the first time with a team from White Horse Christian Center.

And in May he and his daughter Rachel will be leading a team to Uganda to hold crusades.

As you know, we need your prayers for the success of these trips. Pray for hearts to receive the Good News of Jesus Christ. Pray for Holy Spirit power to confirm the Word with signs and wonders, so the people will be convinced of Gods great mercy.

Just a thought from my time of communing with the lord today.

Anytime we begin to exalt people in their talents and rush to hear them we open ourselves up to some very deceptive theories and doctrine. No more prominent place for this to happen is in the realm of music. Thinking that music is the only vehicle for true worship will deceive many who are not aware that true worship to our God is to begin with a truly converted heart that longs to be separated from this world and it’s indulgences.

Greetings and Holiday Blessings,

Our prayer is that this newsletter finds you joyous and thankful for the blessings of God in 2022 and excited for the coming of a new year.

We are trusting that 2023 will be a year of increased favor to you and through you as you navigate the journey the Lord has for you.
We speak life, strength, courage, and purpose over you for all that awaits you.

As we look back at 2022, we are in awe of all that the Lord has done. It has been a year of opportunity as the barriers that hindered foreign missions were removed and the message of the Gospel began to surge across many nations. In India, Africa and Central America we have received reports of many receiving Christ.
Our contacts in India have been doing crusades every other weekend, seeing an increase in hunger for the Word of God and connection to the local Churches. Not only are they holding crusades, but Churches are being planted and wells are being dug in villages that are opening up to the Gospel of Christ. Your help to provide sewing machines for the seamstress graduates was a powerful blessing. Many Muslim and Hindu women came to Christ during that school.

Our contacts in Uganda and Kenya are very excited by the move of God there. Signs and wonders are on the rise. We have been able to help feed and clothe many. We have been able to help with school fees and supplies through our educational scholarships.
All of these things are able to be accomplished because of your faithfulness to pray and your sacrificial giving. We can’t thank you enough.

As we look into 2023, the Lord has already begun to build a very busy schedule for us. In late September and early October, the Lord began to encourage us to prepare for increased responsibilities in 2023. Pastor Mike was speaking at a conference in Minnesota in November when the Lord began putting opportunities in his heart.

As 2022 comes to a close, we have scheduled a trip to India for pastor’s conferences, Bible school teaching, and a worship conference with Todd and Mary Ellis and Daniel Carranza, from January 11-25. In March to Costa Rica, with Pastor Dan Tamburo and a team from Leamington Christian Centre. In April to Mexico for a men’s conference (a first-time trip). In May taking a team to Uganda for crusades and youth and children ministries. In August we are taking a team for the graduation services for the Bible School at Upper Room Ministries in Kenya, we will do youth services and pastor’s conference as well.

This is what we have scheduled so far. As you can see it is shaping up to be a busy year in the nations. We still believe that Bolivia is a necessity. We have not been there in almost five years.
I also sense a stirring to return to western Europe, all in the Lord’s timing.

We ask you to be in prayer for these opportunities. First and foremost, that we would hear distinctly about the Lord’s will in these endeavors. Second for wisdom in selecting teams for the trips. And finally for the finances to accomplish all of this.

We thank those who have already begun to sow into the nations through us. And for those that will respond in the days ahead.

For those who are interested, Pastor Patty has completed her Physical Therapy for the shoulder replacement and is doing very well. Thank you for your prayers we are ever grateful to you.
