The Church of the living God needs a fresh baptism of the Holy Ghost. In 1906 there was a Pentecostal revival that broke out in Los Angeles California called the "Azusa Street Revival Meetings".
The revival was led by an African American, William J Seymour the revival was characterised by an outpouring of the Holy Gost to where those in attendance were baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.
God was fulfilling His promise from (Joel 2:28, and Acts chapter 2) (Joel 2:28) And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.
(Acts 2:1-4) And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

(Mark 16:17-18) And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

These signs should be following believers today.
Just as it was then so should it be in the church today.
This latter-day outpouring of the Holy Spirit is to be demonstrated with tongues of fire, healing, speaking in tongues, and other signs and wonders. Heavenly Father give your Church a fresh baptism of the Holy Spirit, empower your church to do the ministry we've been called and commissioned to do.

(Colossians 3:1-3) If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. NKJV

Salvation is found ONLY in JESUS.
The awful sufferings that Jesus had endured, His death upon the Old rugged Cross, shows the true depth of our sin and sin's penalty. When I think about this, I think, Only true love could cause God's Son Himself to suffer such pain and agony to redeem us from the curse of sin. O' how He loves you and me.
Shouldn't the gratitude of our hearts be seen in our faithful commitment to Him. After all we say that we love him... then our affections will be on things above, our love will be expressed in our worship, in our faithfulness to Him in every area of our lives.

(Romans 5:1-5)Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope makes us not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

As children of God we have been justified through and by placing our faith in Christ.
Justification is our position in Christ. It's what Jesus did for us, by taking our sins upon Himself. The Bible says he speaking of Jesus who knew no sin became sin for us. Justification is the action of declaring or making us righteous in the sight of God.
We love him because he first loved us.

(Psalms 101:1-4) A Psalm of David.} I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.
2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
4 A froward heart shall depart from me:

It was the desire of David's heart to walk before God with a pure heart. As the Apostle Paul said in (2 Cor. 7:1) Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

In (Deut 7:6) God chose Israel to be a holy nation and a holy people.
In (1 Pet 1:15)The apostle Peter tells us to be holy like the one who called us .
As a child of God Holiness should be a matter of my heart, and the position of my heart is how I live my life before God. None of us are perfect, that's why Paul said, "perfecting Holiness" in the fear of God. When I say it's a matter of my heart I'm saying we are to practice living a Godly life before God and the world. And the position of my heart it comes down to what I set my affections on. It was David's desire to walk before the Lore with a perfect and pure heart. That's what he set his affections upon. He set his affections upon God, His desire was to live a life that was pleasing to God. The matter of his heart was to please God. That's why we can read about the position of his heart, after he had sinned as he makes the matter of his heart to seek God's forgiveness. In (Psalms 51)
David writes, Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.” Lord help us to walk before you with a pure heart, perfecting Holiness in our devotion to you.

Isn't it important that we live a life that pleases God?
As Christians, nothing should be more important to us than living a life that pleases God.
Yesterday I told one of my sons that I wanted to live a life that honored God, so much so that if someone came to him and said something about me, that he could say, no sir that's not my dad. At times I've failed and needed to ask God and others to forgive me. I believe that deep down inside every true born again believer has a desire to please God. Do we fail, do we get weak and spiritually weary, do we sometimes blow it spiritually? Yes we do, but deep down inside our hearts desire is to please God.
When we were saved our nature changed, we found ourselves hating the things we once enjoyed, and loving Jesus and things that pertained to God and His kingdom. Loving God wasn't in our nature before salvation. The apostle Paul said in Ephesians that Before salvation we lived our lives according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, according to the spirit that works in children of disobedience. If we say that we love God and yet we're still continuing to live a life that is contrary to the word of God, that's a sure indication that we haven't truly been saved. Salvation requires repentance on our part. Years ago I heard a preacher say that when a baseball makes contact with a bat, it repents. Meaning it was going in one direction until it met the bat, then it quickly repented and changed directions. I've never forgotten that illustration. When God changes our heart through salvation by repentance from sin and accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we become new creatures in Christ old things pass away BEHOLD All things become new. (2 Cor. 5:17)

"The dangers of having no hunger for the pure word of God"... (Amos 8:11) says... Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
What's missing in many churches today is an absolute hunger for the pure word of God. We are running to and fro seeking after SIGNS, looking for the man of God to give us a WORD... we're seeking out teachers having itching ears. (2 Timothy 3:3-4) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. There must be a sincere return to the focus of the "pure word of God". We've got to come to the place as the church that we're not pressing upon man for another miracle, another sign, or just another word, BUT that we're pressing upon Jesus that we may hear His absolute word, praying that God give us ears to hear "WHAT THE SPIRIT IS SAYING TO THE CHIRCH" To hear the word... to hear the word of the Lord. Lord restore to US, the church, a deep hunger for YOUR HOLY WORD. Sit us at your table and let us hear what "YOU ARE SAYING TO YOUR CHURCH".

We recently celebrated Easter, the Christian's holiday that began with Jesus's crucifixion upon the cross on Good Friday, they had placed the lifeless body of Jesus in The borrowed tomb of Joseph of Arimathea. We KNOW that Jesus rose again on Sunday . The tomb is still empty! It is the only place on planet earth that people travel from all around the world to see this empty tomb.
Jesus Christ rose from the dead just as He said.
The best news the world ever received came out of an empty tomb!
He lives! Jesus is alive and sitting at the right hand of the Father, interceding on behalf of you and me!
I encourage you, if you don't know Jesus as your personal Lord and savior give your heart and life to Jesus today... It'll be the best decision you'll ever make.
He was crucified, buried in a borrowed tomb and rose again 3 days later, He gave us the promise that he was coming again to take his church out of this wicked world. Get ready Jesus is coming soon!

Much of the this Nation and the world has turned away from God, and country.
(Rom.1:18-23)
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things
