Have you ever pondered over the saying..."A pearl of wisdom"?
A pearl is produced in a clam when sand gets in it.
It's an irritation to the clam so it coats the sand with a slime like substance which later hardens and becomes a pearl. Pearls come in all colors, shapes and sizes. Depending on the water that a pearl is in they are deemed fresh or salt water pearls. Now, contemplate the wisdom of it all. When we are irritated then we can choose what we do with that irritation. If we choose to learn from it, through our endurance we will grow. The slime around the sand takes time and is soft and icky but when it hardens around the sand it becomes a beautiful pearl. Sometimes 2 or more pearls will come from that clam. So now, can you see where the wisdom comes in?
