Simple Family Prayer:

"Jesus, thank You that nothing is stronger than You. Thank You that nothing can separate us from Your love. Help us trust You when we feel worried, afraid, or unsure. Fill our hearts with Your peace and joy. Amen."

⭐ Parent Tip
Children often carry worries they don't know how to express.

This week, create space for simple conversations by asking:

"Is anything making you feel nervous?"
"What is something you're praying about right now?"
"How can I pray for you today?"

Sometimes the greatest gift we can give our children is helping them learn to bring their fears to Jesus instead of carrying them alone.

The time is finally here for Dugout Day, game three! What better day to enjoy baseball and a picnic at the ballpark than the 4th of July?! It will be a day of baseball, fellowship, and fun for all ages! Join the Destiny Church family for a casual game of baseball, friendly competition, and quality time with your church community.... and hamburgers & hotdogs! We'll have one field for the players and another field for kids to play games.

Whether you're hitting home runs or cheering from the sidelines, there’s something for everyone. Bring your gloves, your game face, and your appetite for fun and connection! Player spots are limited so sign up while you can.

Come for the game, stay for the community. Let’s make memories together—all are welcome!

This year, we created a DC Kids Summer Bucket List filled with simple ways your family can grow in faith, build connection, and create meaningful memories together. From praying as a family and reading Bible stories to enjoying summer treats and serving others, these activities are designed to help your children encounter Jesus in everyday moments.

Our prayer is that this summer would be more than just busy schedules and activities—that it would be a season of joy, connection, and spiritual growth for your family. Sometimes the smallest moments become the ones our kids remember most.

We encourage you to print the bucket list, hang it on your fridge, and have fun checking things off together throughout the summer!

This summer in DC Kids, we’re creating something really special—and we’d love to invite you into it. 💛

As we head into the summer months, we’re building a DC Kids Summer Volunteer Team—a short-term team serving June through August. This team helps create space for our incredible school-year volunteers to rest, while also inviting others to step into the joy of investing in the next generation.

Because here’s what we know to be true:
Every child benefits from more caring, consistent adults in their lives.

💛 A Simple Way to Make a Lasting Impact
This opportunity is designed to be:

~Short-term (just 3–6 services over the summer)
~Flexible and supported (you won’t be doing this alone!)
~Meaningful (what you do matters more than you think)

Whether it’s helping a child feel seen, welcoming a new family, or simply showing up with a smile—you are helping create a space where kids can encounter God, experience joy, and grow in their faith.
