as formed in 1941 by the uniting of two Chester congregations, the Congregational Church (founded in 1740) and the Baptist Church (founded in 1822). In 1948, the two separate sanctuaries were physically joined together to complete the uniting process. Family worship
Family Worship begins at 10:00 a.m. and is shared by the entire family for the beginning of each service. After the children’s sermon, the children (pre-K through Grade 8) leave with their teachers for Church School. Nursery care is also provided at 10:00 a.m. Communion
This sacrament is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. Baptism
This church practices infant, as well as youth and adult, baptism within the context of Sunday morning worship by arrangement with the pastor. Other special services are also observed during the year.
