EID Mubarak!!
“ In it are clear signs: (It is) the Place of Abraham; and whoever enters it is safe; and pilgrimage to the House is a duty which men own to Allah — whoever can find a way to it. And whoever disbelieves, surely Allah is above need of the worlds.” ~The Holy Quran, 3:97
As Salaam Alaikum,
Dear Believers,
We pray you are in the very best of health and spirit!
We wish you a Blessed 'Id Al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice)! Inshallah, Allah Willing, we observe 'Id Al-Adha, Wednesday, May 27th, which marks the 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah of the lunar calendar month of Hajj 2026.
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad writes in Message to the Blackman in America, "The main principles of action in Islam: [are] keeping up prayer, spending in the cause of truth, fasting especially during the month of Ramadan, [and] pilgrimage to Mecca..."
The Muslim pilgrimage (Hajj) takes place during the month of Dhul Hijjah- the 12th month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Hajj is a series of ancient rites performed by Muslim pilgrims that journey from around the world to Mecca, Arabia, in numbers that have exceeded 3 million -- making it the largest annual gathering on Earth of its kind. Hajj is among the 5 principles of action required of all Muslims that are physically able to perform the rites and financially afford to make the journey.
The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan teaches us, "The very ritual of Hajj is a sign of what the world will be like in totality when The Mahdi establishes the Kingdom of Islam. In that day, there will be no racism to corrupt the Spirit of Islam. There will be no sexism, there will be no materialism and there will be no nationalism. All of the corrupters of the True Spirit of Islam will be completely destroyed."
The Muslim pilgrimage of Hajj is a Sign established by Allah (God). Allah (God) Revealed in the Holy Quran in Chapter 2, verse 196, "Accomplish the pilgrimage and the visit for Allah." "In it are clear signs: (It is) the Place of Abraham; and whoever enters it is safe; and pilgrimage to the House is a duty which men owe to Allah - whoever can find a way to it." ~ Holy Quran 3:96
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad writes, "...Gathering of all people living in the same vicinity five times daily in the Mosque, is a help to the establishment of healthy social relations. In the daily service these relations are limited to a narrow circle, i.e., to members of the same neighborhood. But the circle becomes wider in the weekly Friday service which gathers together all Muslim members of a particular locality and become still wider, in the two great "Id" gatherings. Thus, prayer promotes social relations between the different sections of the Muslim community. Far more important that this, however, is the leveling of social differences brought about by means of congregational prayer. Once within the doors of the Mosque, every Muslim feels himself in an atmosphere of equality and love."
