AdhiParaSakthi Siddhar Sakthi Peetam (Also known as Om Sakthi Peetam) was founded by ACMEC Society of North America, Inc. a 501-c non-profit charitable and social service organization
This Sakthi Peetam is the very first of its kind in the world outside India, situated on 24.5 beautiful and serene acres in Chester Springs, PA. His
Holiness Shri Bangaru Adigalar, addressed as AMMA (The Mother) vis
ited and set His Lotus Foot on this Peetam soil on Sept 3rd,
2000 and initiated this center with a powerful Yagna (Velvi), that saw the Srichakra, Kali Chakra, and hundreds of yagna gundas (Velvi Gundams) of various shapes, each representing five elements (Pancha Bhoothas) of life in this world. After many years of legally convincing local Township, the endurance and perseverence grounded on the deep faith and belief in Mother AdhiParaSakthi, the ACMEC of NA won the case and cleared the obstacles for establishing the Sakthi Peetam. The township
settled the case with ACMEC of NA, in January of 2011. Meanwhile, the Statue (Vigraha) of Mother AdhiParaSakthi was made in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, India, and brought to USA in May of 2003. She was in Karikolam around entire USA from east coast to west covering many states receiving Abhishekam from thousands
of devotees in their homes. Finally, after the case with township was settled, the Statue of Mother was removed from Her Karikolam van and placed inside a newly constructed structure as Her temporary abode on the 24.5 acre land. Currently, the Sakthi Peetam houses Mother AdhiParaSakthi Statue kept decorated in flowers as a representation of Her Meditative state. She will be in this form, till the Sanctum Sanctorum is constructed and She is Consecrated with Pradhishta rituals and Kumba Abishekam performed. UNIQUENSS of SAKTHI PEETAM:
First, it is not abided by Agamic method, since AdhiParaSakthi Herself is here, She is not bound by archaic practices of separating Her from Her
Children - US. Hence a simple pooja practice that can be performed by anyone irrespective any discriminating factors has been created by Mother Herself. Trained volunteers called 'Thondars' (Sevaka) will guide the visitors to perform this simple pooja by themselves. Second, Women Empowerment in religious services, are given the highest importance in Sakthi Peetam, and they take lead role in performing all pooja, rituals, and rites to the Mother. Our Mothers,
Wives, and Daughters get first preference to perform pooja. Everyone including men and children irrespective of caste, creed, nationality, gender, language, origin, and every other differentiating factors, are allowed to enter the Sanctum Sanctorum and perform Archana, Arathi, and Mantra recitation to Mother AdhiParaSakthi. The Abhisheka, and Alankara are also performed by the devotees themselves. Third, Sakthi devotees wear red clothing asserting the fact that we are all equally created and children of One Mother, irrespective of who we are in this materialistic world. The color of blood running in our body is red, and has no correlation to our outward appearance. Hence we are equal in front of Mother AdhiParaSakthi who proclaimed,
"When you wear red, you should consciously assert in your mind that you are not above or below anyone else. Treat everyone as equal to you." Fourth, the operations are Self-Service. There are no Pundits / Pujaris / Priests in this Sakthi Peetam. The objective of Sakthi Peetam is to provide a platform for Seekers and Devotees a direct experiential connection with the Divine. All visitors can recite mantras, perform archana and arathi on their own. Experienced Sevakas will guide. Sakthi Peetam is about 'Equality', 'Direct Divine Connection', and 'Self-less Service'. It is different from other Temples. So, please don't expect to walk into Sakthi Peetam and have a priest perform archana, and arathi with sankalpa for you. Be prepared to do them all yourself, which is a privilege, and honor to everyone. It is a unique and rare opportunity. THE SAKTHI PEETAM SCHEDULE:
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM - Mother AdhiParaSakthi Abhishekam, Alankaram, Mantra recitation, Maha Arathi and Food Distribution. Sunday: 9:00 AM - 12:00 Noon - 1008 Mantra recitation
Please note that all Sevakas (Thondars) volunteering in Sakthi Peetam are respected professoinals employed in global companies. Some of them are honorably retired. So, the regularization of timing is challenge, but we are making strides towards that. IMMEDIATE FUTURE PLAN:
ACMEC of NA has embarked on its immediate plan of constructing the Karuvarai (Sanctum Sanctorum) and consecrate Mother AdhiParaSakthi Statue and perform Kumba Abhishekam. The total size of Sanctum Sanctorum will be less than 3,600 sq.ft. LONG-TERM FUTURE PLAN:
After successfully consecrating Mother AdhiParaSakthi in the Sanctum Sanctorum, next stage will be to consecrate Bala Ganesh, Bala Murugan, Saptha Kannikas, Adharvana Bhadra Kaali
(Prithyankira Devi), and Navagrahas. All this will be done in a non-Agamic way to allow every visiting devotee to perform pooja to all of them on their own, without a priest (but helped and guided by trained Sevakas)
