Our OCIA Program starts on Monday!

Are you someone or do you know someone who…

• Has expressed an interest in becoming Catholic?
• Was baptized Catholic as a child, but has not celebrated the Sacraments of the Eucharist and/or Confirmation?

The parish OCIA program offers an opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about the Catholic faith. Sessions focus on the teachings and experience of Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist.

OCIA sessions will take place in the Holy Family room of the church on Monday evenings at 7:00 PM, beginning this coming Monday, September 14. For more information, please contact Deacon Kevin Mead ([email protected]) or call the parish office (610-321-1200).

Our Bible Study, Walking with Purpose and Stewardship Day of Service teams will be hosting a Donut Social following both the 8:00 and 9:30 AM Masses and a Pretzel Social following the 11:30 AM Mass on Sunday, September 13. Please stop over at the Social Hall after any of the Sunday Masses on the 13th to say hello, get to know a few of our new parishioners and their families, all while enjoying a cup of coffee, fresh donut or soft pretzel.

Our annual Fall Food Drive in support of The Lord’s Pantry in Downingtown and Saint Agnes Day Room in West Chester will take place the weekend of September 12-13.

Suggested items for donation: canned fruit and vegetables; dry cereal; soups; pasta; rice; peanut butter; jelly; canned tuna/chicken; canned/boxed meals (chili, ravioli, stew). Gift cards to Acme, Giant and Wegmans are also gratefully accepted.

Items can be dropped off in gray bins outside the Holy Family room or in the breezeway outside of the chapel before all weekend Masses. Note: Where possible please drop off your donations in cloth and paper bags. Thanks to all for your continued generosity!

As the summer winds down and the kids head back to school, we want to thank all the families who shared pictures and information about the churches and religious sites they visited this summer! ⛪

We have one last submission from the Kim family. They recently visited the National Center for Padre Pio, a scenic spiritual destination honoring one of the most beloved Saints of our time, located in Barto, PA just a short trip north on route 100. The center is currently observing a "Year of St. Pio" in preparation for the 25th anniversary of the canonization of St. Pio on June 16, 2027. Thank you, Kim family, for sharing your visit with us!

Walking with Purpose is a program that meets women right where they are, hands them a cup of coffee, and transforms their hearts. We are thrilled to announce that we will offer two Bible studies this season:

Opening Your Heart, our foundational study, is perfect for a woman new to WWP (with or without Bible study experience). We invite you to be amazed at how Scripture applies to your everyday life. This study begins Thurs, October 8.

Spiritual Motherhood: The Transforming Power of the Feminine Genius Bible study will lead you on a journey of discovering your true identity. Cultivate your unique capacity to nurture, restore, and bring others closer to Christ. This study begins the week of October 11.

As a parish member, you’re able to create a profile, share prayer requests, and take part in prayer challenges together. Two new prayer challenges are coming up in the next few weeks:

🙏The Philadelphia Archdiocese will host a prayer challenge beginning August 31, entitled Called By Name. This 7-day challenge will be led by Archbishop Nelson Perez. Each day will represent a specific vocation - priesthood, religious life, marriage, diaconate, consecrated single life - not as an abstract idea, but a lived reality with real cost, surrender, and real blessings. Join this prayer challenge through our parish page on the Hallow app beginning on August 31.

🙏 Our next parish-run prayer challenge, entitled How to Pray will start on Monday, September 14. Fr. This fall’s Adult Bible Study will be on Life Everlasting: Heaven, Hell, Death, and Judgment.
The Last Things Are Not the End—They Are the Beginning. This five-session study explores why the last things are not meant to cause fear, but to inspire hope and deeper trust in God’s promise of eternal life. We will discover how living with eternity in mind gives everyday life deeper meaning and purpose.
