While the Pastoral Search Committee is hard at work to find our next pastor, it’s important we don’t overlook another position here at St. Peter’s Pikeland.

The résumé of our Assistant Grounds Manager, Daisy, is pawsitively impressive. 🐾📋

Working alongside her owner, Herman (our Cemetery Manager), Daisy’s key qualifications include:

🌱 Quality Assurance: Meticulously inspects every single blade of grass.

📔 Database Management: Expertly shadows Herman while he updates burial records.

🐿️ Security & Vigilance and Shadow Management: Stays strictly by Herman's side to protect him from rogue squirrels.

🐕 Public Relations: Excellent at providing comfort tail-wags to visitors.

🪾Departmental Promotion: Recently promoted to Regional “Branch” Manager (mostly for finding and carrying large sticks)

Compensation: Scratches behind the ears and a good sniff at your shoes 👟

"Jesus Wept" John 11:35
Last night's St. Peter's FB Trivia question was: What is the shortest verse in the Bible? Answer: "Jesus Wept". Two simple words that hold so much weight.

“Jesus Wept”. Not only does it show us that Jesus experienced real human emotions, despite His divine power, but that mourning is a natural human response. Jesus' divinity did not make him any less human. Jesus' humanity did not make him any less divine.
Grief and mourning are natural, human emotions.
This also happens to tie into our Grief workshop happening this Sunday after worship service, led by Quinn Rosenthal.

Rev. Erick Kern will be leading worship service at 10:00 a.m and will be teaching us about Sanctification in his sermon.
Sanctification is not just about changing your outward behavior; it is about renewing your mind, heart, and emotions.

We welcome you all with open arms, hearts and minds.
