Temple Beth David Temple Beth David is a warm, caring Reform Jewish community based in Cheshire, Connecticut that serves the greater New Haven area.

We offer our members a place to come together to educate their children, learn and pray, and work for social justice. Temple Beth David is a Reform congregation with a warm approach to Jewish traditions. We offer a variety of opportunities to grow Jewishly —through learning, through worship, and through connection to one another including:

* Worship services on Shabbat and holidays.

ively religious school that provides Jewish education to children from pre-kindergarten to B’nai Mitzvah.
* Opportunities for further religious education at Makom, the regional Hebrew high school.
* Dedication to Social Action serving the community of Cheshire and the surrounding area.
* A Caring Community which gives support in times of stress, sadness and celebrates joyous occasions in the lives of our members.
* Adult education programs ranging from adult level Hebrew to guest speakers to mini-courses on various topics.
* An active Sisterhood and Brotherhood that supports our Temple and embraces members of all ages with social events, fundraisers and programs.
* Social and entertainment programs which help our members to be part of community that enjoys having fun in a Jewish context. We are a congregation in which all members have a sense of ownership and involvement in Temple activities. As today winds down we start thinking of Shabbat. This Friday night worship will be led by our temple President Elyse Krantz and then Saturday after our 9:00 AM weekly Torah study we have our monthly 10:00 AM service with “A Teaspoon of Tefilla- Insights for Illuminating Prayer" led by Larry Levine and Elaine Shapiro. As always at TBD so many opportunities for reflection, questioning, and prayer. We look forward to seeing you soon!

granddaughter, Naomi Baum executor of his estate, will share a presentation on her grandfather’s evolution as an artist showing us his work and sharing how his young experiences growing up in Poland shaped his future as an artist whose works are now part of collections in the Whitney Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art!

Naomi, who is the cousin of member Sarah Baum, will share the presentation she gave at the Boston Fine Arts show with time for questions and refreshments!
