Temple Beth David Temple Beth David is a warm, caring Reform Jewish community based in Cheshire, Connecticut that serves the greater New Haven area.

We offer our members a place to come together to educate their children, learn and pray, and work for social justice. Temple Beth David is a Reform congregation with a warm approach to Jewish traditions. We offer a variety of opportunities to grow Jewishly —through learning, through worship, and through connection to one another including:

* Worship services on Shabbat and holidays.

ively religious school that provides Jewish education to children from pre-kindergarten to B’nai Mitzvah.
* Opportunities for further religious education at Makom, the regional Hebrew high school.
* Dedication to Social Action serving the community of Cheshire and the surrounding area.
* A Caring Community which gives support in times of stress, sadness and celebrates joyous occasions in the lives of our members.
* Adult education programs ranging from adult level Hebrew to guest speakers to mini-courses on various topics.
* An active Sisterhood and Brotherhood that supports our Temple and embraces members of all ages with social events, fundraisers and programs.
* Social and entertainment programs which help our members to be part of community that enjoys having fun in a Jewish context. We are a congregation in which all members have a sense of ownership and involvement in Temple activities. join us at Mishkan Israel as we prepare our hearts, minds, and souls for a new Jewish year. Hear from author, Marjorie Ingall, on the art of apology and celebrate Selichot with prayer, music, and reflection as we head into the High Holy Days. Two of our teens recently joined Cheshire Creation Care to represent Temple Beth David. CCC an interfaith group dedicated to environmental education, local sustainability, and community action. In the past, CCC worked with TBD's religious school to make "turtle crossing" signs that were placed along the trail. Stay tuned for more environmentally-friendly events like this one below!

Families with little ones, mark your calendars! All are welcome to attend our free, monthly story hour programs that celebrates the Jewish holidays. You don't need to be Jewish or a member of Temple Beth David to participate. Just email us at [email protected] for more info!

First up, Rosh Hashanah. On Sunday, Sept 13, come learn about why the Jewish near year is so sweet. Story time activities are appropriate for children from birth to age five, accompanied by a parent or other caregiver. Community participation is encouraged, so call a friend and invite them along! To ensure we have enough materials for everyone, pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
