All are welcome to worship with us as we celebrate Labor Day weekend on Sunday, September 6th. Worship will begin at 10:00 a.m. Unfortunately, there will be no nursery this Sunday.

Some of our Promise Kids are already back in school; others will begin next week after Labor Day. All of them will meet this Sunday for an informal, fun time before our regular fall programming begins.

On the first Sunday of every month, we celebrate Communion. The children also collect non-perishables to donate to the Cheshire Community Food Pantry.

Our much loved Music Director, Mara W**d, formally retired today. We are so thankful to her for the years she spent building our music program into something so special at Cheshire UMC. We are very grateful, Mara, and wish you all the best in this new chapter. We're thrilled that you will be staying in Cheshire. We look forward to seeing you as a member of the Chancel Choir and a continuing member of our congregation!

Come and worship with us this Sunday, August 30th, at 10:00 a.m. We will be celebrating Mara W**d as she retires as Music Director for CUMC. Join us in thanking Mara for her years of service and endless hours she has worked to build our church in so many ways but especially by leading our music ministry! Luckily for us, Mara will continue to share her talents with us as a member of our Chancel Choir.

For the next two Sundays, all our Promise Kids are invited to “Ultimate Fun Time” filled with fun, friendship and joy-filled time together. They are welcome to bring a friend or neighbor to share this special time. Nursery care is available for the little ones.

Our SPR Committee will host Fellowship Hour and invites everyone to a special celebration to honor Mara.

We would be delighted to welcome you as we gather for worship this Sunday, August 23rd. Our service begins at 10:00 a.m.

This Sunday our Promise Kids will join us to tell us what gifts they have discovered in themselves this summer through their singing, speaking, listening, and learning. They plan to share short messages with us reflecting on what they learned together during June and July and how they are using their gifts to praise God. Nursery is available every Sunday for the little ones.

After worship, we invite everyone to come together to greet each other and enjoy refreshments in Fellowship Hall.

Last Sunday, August 16th, was very special for us. 5 of our Promise Kids, who are studying violin, performed "Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee" for us. Thank you to each of them for sharing their talents with the congregation!

Welcome to Cheshire UMC. Join us for worship this Sunday, August 16th, at 10:00 a.m.

We provide nursery every Sunday for the little ones. Children in K-6th grade, our Promise Kids, meet for Sunday School after the Children’s Sermon with Pastor Steve. Several of our Promise Kids who are learning string instruments will share their musical gifts with us as part of our service this week!

During his sermon this Sunday, Pastor Steve will be talking to all of us about “When Life Bumps into Us, What Comes Out?” Come as we all learn together about dealing with all sorts of things that can weigh us down, and how relying on God’s strength can lift us up again.

After worship, we have a weekly Fellowship Hour. We invite everyone to enjoy time together while having refreshments.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to our worship service on Sunday, August 9th, at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome at Cheshire UMC. Nursery is available every Sunday for the little ones.

Our Promise Kids meet for Sunday School following Pastor Steve’s Children’s sermon. They have been busy learning and enjoying their time together over the summer. As part of their summer program, they have been learning handbells and singing songs together. They are working hard and this Sunday they have special music for the congregation to enjoy.

After worship, come to Fellowship Hour for refreshments. We all enjoy having this time together to relax and catch up on what is happening in our day-to-day lives.
