ISO of either a garage apartment or small mother in law suite for my daughter and her 18 month old son. He is a busy little man with some good lungs, hence the need for a separate space. She is currently going to TCC. It does not have to be solely in Great Bridge area. Any area in close proximity is fine. She can afford $550 per month inclusive. If you know someone that may have this kind of space please let me know. Thanks so much!

Services Tomorrow are Canceled

Due to water outage, tomorrow services at Bethel Baptist Church has been canceled. Unfortunately, without water we will be unable to flush the toilets or wash our hands. To comply with the Health Codes, Bethel can't hold services until water is restored. We are working diligently to make the repairs. Thank you for your understanding. Happy Father's Day. Remember, "if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."

Wanted to thank all of the ladies who attended the testimony on Sat. My friend Beth so appreciated the support for her sister Bing. Many ladies were ministered to in the area of forgiveness as well as blessed. I received a text today letting me know that from her time here on Sat She was asked to speak at a church in Gaston Lake. God never wastes a single thing He allows us to walk through, ultimately it is for our growth and His glory.

Throughout my life I have had many friends. My first best friend was Kerry. Our parents were friends so that is how we became friends. Then when I went to school I made some friends on my own. All through my school years I was friends with Debbie and Maureen. We did everything together. Walked to and from school, worked after school jobs, we were even bridesmaids in each others weddings. Nowadays it's a facebook message, or a yearly Christmas card that keeps us connected. I am sure we all have friends like this.
As we go through life we make new friends. Have you ever heard the saying"make new friends but keep the old, some are silver the other gold."
Some friends are lifelong friends, others are just for a season.
God places these friends in our path's for a purpose. It's so important for us as christian women to have christian friends. Christian friends in like circumstances. Someone who we can go to for council or mentoring. Someone to help keep us accountable, someone we can pray with, share our love of God with, Someone who will grow spiritually along side of us. Just as we tell our friends our deepest dreams, secrets and desire. We need to also take these things to God our father. You will never have any better friend than God our father. He will always be your one true friend. We just need to sit and listen, for he is always there, even when our friends are not.
:"Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of one's friend springs from his earnest counsel"

I hope won't miss this event, it will be inspiring. Saturday 2-20-16 @ 9:00 a.m. Bethel Baptist Church Banquet Room.

Join us to hear the amazing testimony of Bing. Bing was raised in a practicing Buddhist family. She fled communist Vietnam in 1981 at the age of 12 with her 16 year old sister. Their miraculous voyage to freedom was treacherous. They hid in a brothel; were held up by machine guns; ran barefoot through the darkenss at a momen't notice; swam for their lives; and survived hunger, disease, and the refugee camps. Two years after escaping from Vietnam, they arrived in America and were fostered by a church going family in rural Virginia. This is where Bing came to know Christ. Come and hear Bing share her amazing testimony of God's faithfulness to protect and preserve her life from unimagineable evil. An incredible demonstration of God's love and redemption in Bing's life.

Coffee and light breakfast items will be served at 9:30 a.m. Please let us know if you will be joining, contact [email protected] so we can prepare accordingly.

Have you ever really questioned what it means to FORGIVE? It's so easy to look those who hurt us in the eye and say "I forgive you". But do we really?
Let's look at who it is we need to forgive. Our spouse, children, co-workers, boss, friends, neighbors. Everyday we come in contact with people who hurt us. Some of those hurts are worse than others. Some hurts come in the form of words others by actions. But let's face it a hurt is a hurt. Some are very painful and some can be long lasting. How many times have we said "I forgive, but I won't forget". Is that a true forgiveness? Do you think when we sin God says "I forgive you, but I won't forget"? Is he keeping a tally of each of us and our number of transgressions ?
There is a little known Disney movie titled "Frozen". There is a song in this movie who's lyrics say "Let it go, let it go, can't hold it back anymore. Let it go, let it go, turn away and slam the door".
My thought is this is what God wants from us. To FORGIVE-unconditionally and to Let it go.....
