Psalms 73:26 "My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."

Psalm 73:26 is a poignant reflection by Asaph, a Levite who served as a choir leader during David's reign. This Psalm is a candid expression of Asaph's struggle with the prosperity of the wicked compared to the righteous who suffer. Amidst his doubts and questions, Asaph finds solace in a profound truth about God's enduring presence and strength.
The verse articulates a moment of profound realization: even when physical strength and heart may fail, God remains the strength of the heart and the eternal portion. This acknowledgment comes after Asaph's journey through envy and confusion, leading to a deepened understanding of his relationship with God. It's a powerful declaration of faith in God's sufficiency and enduring presence, transcending the temporary and often perplexing circumstances of life.

This realization holds a comforting message. It reassures that despite the inevitable challenges and moments of weakness we face, our deepest strength and hope lie beyond our physical capabilities. It encourages a perspective that looks beyond immediate struggles, recognizing that our ultimate sustenance and security come from God. This verse invites us to find our anchor in the constancy of God's love and strength, reminding us that in every moment of vulnerability or doubt, there is an unwavering source of support and renewal in Him. It's a call to trust in God's provision and presence, finding peace in the assurance that no matter the trials, we are held and sustained by a strength that surpasses our own. -idisciple.org

Yahweh said to Joshua, "Get up! Why have you fallen on your face like that? Joshua 7:10

The first town the Israelites came to when they entered the promised land was Jericho. They marched around it seven times, shouted, and the city walls crumbled. God was working with them, and He gave them an incredible victory. They were instructed to put all the loot from the first city into the Lord's treasury. In essence, it was tithing. He allowed them to keep the rest of the cities for themselves, but not the first fruits (Exodus 23:19).
A man named Achan stole part of the loot from Jericho and kept it for himself. Because of this, the Lord withdrew His help from Israel. The next city they came to was the small town of Ai. The Israelites had taken the great walled city of Jericho almost without a fight. But the tiny village of Ai beat them back and made them retreat.

After the defeat, Joshua lay on his face before the Lord and prayed for direction. Israel had lost the battle. That wasn't supposed to happen. When the Lord answered Joshua, it was basically: "Get up, make it right, and let's go forward!" God gave Joshua no time to lay there and dwell on past mistakes and events. They first dealt with Achan, then went and took the city of Ai.

Many times in my life, I have stumbled, turned back, and wandered away from God. Each time I returned to Him, lay on the carpet, and prayed, it was exactly like this: "Now get up and let's go forward!"
God is always calling you into your future, into your destiny. The devil is continually calling you into your past, reminding you of your mistakes, giving you feelings of shame, and wanting you to return to your old ways.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life, and God still has a plan for you, a destiny to fulfill. Don't live in your past mistakes, meditating on how much time has been wasted. When you dwell on those, you are siding with the enemy. Your past is gone, so let it go. Let this sink in: God talks about your future. It is the enemy that talks about your past.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for all You do for me. Please draw my heart to You and give me the will to get up when I stumble. Thank You for Your mercy. Lead me into all that You have for me. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Psalms 63:3 "Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify You."

Psalm 63:3, written by David during a period of exile in the wilderness, reflects his deep yearning and dependence on God in a time of hardship. David, once a shepherd boy who rose to become king, often faced significant challenges, including threats to his life and kingdom. This particular Psalm is a beautiful expression of his faith and trust in God's love, which he found to be more precious than life itself.
In the context of this verse, David is not merely expressing a superficial preference for God's love; he's acknowledging that God's steadfast love is the very foundation of his life and worth. Even in the wilderness, a place of danger and desperation, David's priority remains on the goodness and sustaining power of God's love over his physical circumstances.

For someone today, this verse can be a profound reminder of where our true value and support lie. In a world that often measures worth by success, possessions, or social standing, David's declaration invites us to reconsider what's truly important. It's a call to cherish and seek God's love above all else, recognizing it as the source of our strength and sustenance, especially in our own "wilderness" moments—times of uncertainty, fear, or isolation. This Psalm encourages us to reflect on the enduring and life-giving nature of divine love, inviting us to find our deepest satisfaction and security in it, rather than the fleeting and often unsatisfying comforts of the world. It's a powerful reminder that in the vastness of God's love, we find the true essence of life itself.

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:3

I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, the power, and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ has come; for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night. Revelation 12:10

Do you ever feel shame over something in your past? Is there something saying: "God is mad at you because…" That is the enemy trying to immobilize you. To keep you from doing the will of God. That is what he does. He accuses us day and night and reminds us of our past (Revelation 12:10).

The enemy cannot stop God from fulfilling His plans for you. But through fear and shame, he will try to stop you from stepping out in faith, to prevent you from ever starting. If you never begin the journey, how can you arrive at the destination? It's a simple but very effective plan. It kept eleven disciples in the boat the night Peter walked on water with Jesus (Matthew 14:29).

Your past is behind you, and you cannot change it, so focus on moving forward. When you fall, get back up as quickly as possible and try again. When a past mistake comes to mind, ask God for forgiveness, and put it behind you. When someone who has hurt you comes to mind, forgive them again. This will take away the enemy's ammunition, and it will be one less thing he can use against you.
Jesus dealt with the sin problem once and for all, and no sacrifice you make will improve on what He has already done for you. He took away the sin of the world. Today we only have to ask God to forgive us, and He will. Today is the day of salvation, so do not waste another second of your life. Your sin was already paid for, along with everyone else's! We try to live right because He loves us, not to make Him love us. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I look to You today for help, provision, and protection. All I have comes from You, even the air I breathe. Please forgive me of my sins and help me to walk steadfastly before You. Let me carry Your presence with me today. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Thank You Jesus!!!

While you are still breathing, there is hope. Paul wrote: "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed." (Romans 10:9–11)

We have nothing in the past that matters anymore. Today is a new day, and there is nothing there that can hold us back. The only thing standing between the Lord Jesus and us is us. Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Make your choice. Live for Jesus.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, please forgive me for my sins and the things I have done wrong. I am sorry. Jesus, come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and guide me from this day forth. My life is now Yours. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

"When Struggle Meets Grace"
Why do I do the things I shouldn’t, and I don’t do the things I should; that’s just the proof that You’re the only part of me that’s good...

I’m not sure there’s a passage in all of Scripture that captures the struggle of the human condition better than Paul’s words in Romans 7. He’s wrestling in real time with the fact that he keeps doing the very things he knows he shouldn’t do—and doesn’t do the things he knows he should do.

Ever struggled with those same thoughts? Yeah, me too.

That’s because we’re human. Our sinful nature—our flesh—makes it difficult, day after day, to consistently do the right thing. This is the struggle. The war within. The tug-of-war between who we want to be and who we actually are.
And Paul doesn’t sugarcoat it. He cries out, “Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?” It’s the honest plea of someone who’s tired of fighting the same battles. But he doesn’t stop there.

“Thanks be to God,” Paul writes, “who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!” There is deliverance from the struggle within. There is hope beyond the war we feel inside. His name is Jesus!!

Struggle doesn’t disqualify you from grace—it proves your need for it. And grace doesn’t shame us for the battle; it meets us in it. Because of Jesus, there is no condemnation. Conviction leads us toward healing; condemnation pushes us into hiding. God offers freedom, not fear.
-Matthew West

DO SOMETHING:

1. Read Romans 7:15–25 and Romans 8:1.
2. What struggle have you been carrying
alone?
3. How might honesty open the door to
healing?
4. Thank God today for grace that meets
you in the fight.

Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

The very first words of Scripture provide the most profound foundation for our hope: "In the beginning, God." Before there was a problem to solve, a sorrow to soothe, or a world to navigate, there was the intentional, creative presence of God. This reminds us that our lives are not a series of random accidents or chaotic events. Instead, we are part of a masterpiece designed by a Creator who has been in control since the dawn of time. When our personal world feels formless or void, we can look back to the beginning and remember that God specializes in bringing light and order out of the darkness.
*Today, we can face the unknown with a sense of quiet awe. We don't have to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders because we know the One who created it. When we feel overwhelmed by the complexity of our circumstances, we can simplify our focus by returning to this fundamental truth. Our hope is anchored in the Creator's unchanging nature and His proven ability to bring beauty out of nothingness. *We can move forward with confidence, knowing that the God of the beginning is already standing in our future, *making a way* where there seems to be no way!!
