Yesterdays message hit home!! “It Couldn’t Happen Where You Were… GOD Had To Move You” 😭😭😭

Why Would GOD Move You?

1. New levels require new spaces!! You cannot grow if you stay settled where you have already reached your limit.

2. Your crutches have been removed!! Your Familiar environment became a safety nets that stopped you from fully trusting God.

3. It was time for you to step away from what was toxic! God removed you from the familiar because he saw what you didn’t see and heard what you didn’t hear!

4. God removed you from a place that was your ceiling but
Now YOUR CEILING HAS BECOME YOUR FLOOR!

This was a great take away from what I posted yesterday about the difference between being Pastored and preached to! I could not have explained why I posted what I posted any better! Thank you Auntie DrCynthia Renee Rumph Anderson🫶🏼

I actually received Pastor Shavon’s post differently. I saw it as enlightenment and an invitation to perspective.

Gone are the days when pastors are expected to simply be quiet, absorb every criticism, never process what happened publicly, and never offer another perspective. Pastors are human, too. We learn, we evaluate, we grow, and sometimes conversations like this help the entire Body of Christ think more deeply.

Yes, I appreciate that someone was willing to share why the person left. That information can absolutely be received as something to consider. But I did not read Pastor Sharon’s post as refusing hearing her readon. I read it as her raising a legitimate question:

Is the issue the preaching, the preaching style, or the pastoring?

Those are not necessarily the same thing.

The methods of the old-school church are not automatically obsolete simply because ministry delivery today has evolved. There are now many expressions and styles of preaching, teaching, whooping, expository preaching, prophetic preaching, conversational preaching, celebratory preaching, and practical instruction. One style does not automatically make another ineffective.

And everything loud is not “antics.” Everything expressive is not “showmanship.” Just as everything quiet is not necessarily deep, everything loud is not necessarily shallow. The fruit, the Word, the integrity, and the presence of God must ultimately speak for the ministry.

People absolutely deserve to be fed the Word of God effectively. Righteousness and holiness matter. Sound doctrine matters. But pastoring also matters. Discipleship matters. Being present through marriages, children, crises, funerals, sickness, correction, development, and everyday life matters.

Sometimes someone can be genuinely pastored and still decide that they prefer another preaching style—and that is okay. But that does not automatically mean the pastor cannot preach, nor does it erase the pastoral investment that was made.

I believe Pastor Sharon was strategic in sharing this because it makes us examine something bigger:

Did I leave because I wasn't being fed, or because I didn't prefer the way the meal was being served?

There is a difference.

This conversation does not have to produce offense. It can produce evaluation, perspective, growth, and understanding on both sides of the pulpit.

Dear, Cyber Church Family! 🙏🏽

Many of you reach out to me on Mondays asking me is “Cyber Church coming on tonight”??? And it warms my heart to know that there are still many that are blessed by this platform that was used to share the gospel with from all over the world. 🥹🌎

I started Cyber Church 7 years ago right before the pandemic! I did not understand why the Father led me to have church online until the pandemic hit and then it all made sense.

When we could not get into a church building we could still get the WORD!

Cyber Church has blessed me and my family’s life personally and I will forever be grateful for the impact it made.

I am officially closing the chapter of Cyber Church as the Holy Spirit is urging me to go back to using my platform for PRAYER!
Many years ago I would have “prayer at noon” and callers from across the globe would join and we would cry out to GOD together!!

God told me “GO BACK TO PRAYER” and that’s what we are doing! It is my prayer that my Cyber family will transition with me right back into the cyber prayer room! 🙏🏽

I love y’all!! Thank you for 7 years! 🥹🌎🙏🏽

What’s on my heart tonight…

I had a conversation with someone this week and they shared with me that a certain person left the ministry because they said we couldn’t preach. They were not getting fed spiritually. I wasn’t offended by that because I do not feel like I am the greatest preacher at all! I in fact am a very practical teacher of the word of GOD that is FILLED with the spirit of GOD! His WORD plus his SPIRIT in me does the work that needs to be done!
What I was hurt about is the fact that I have taken personal time out with this person, their children, their marriage, to develop, pour, disciple, care and love them as a Pastor is supposed to do.
I asked the question.. “Did this person come to be pastored or did they come to be preached to”?
If they just came to be preached to then they made the right decision to leave because
If they do not perceive us as one that can feed them with the word of GOD then they wont be able to receive what comes out of our mouth!

Our reception is predicated on our perception!

I know a lot of great pastors who are just mediocre preachers…

When you have a pastor that can do both that’s a blessing but not all Pastors have the ability to communicate on a high level. Does that make them unqualified?

These days good preachers come a dime a dozen but real Pastors are few and far in between!

The Pastors job is to feed you with knowledge and understanding.. maybe the plate of food that’s being served isn’t enough food for you and it’s ok! But make sure you’re not leaving a hole in the wall restaurant that has good food but their service is great for a 5 star meal and horrible customer service!
