The Clara L.K. Bailey Area of the Virginia Conference Branch Women's Missionary Society was well represented at the membership meeting in Martinsville (VA). We were hosted by the Roxie L. Arnold Area. Following the Business Session 1st VP Adrienne June-Buckner presented the Annual Gospel Fruitcake with a twist this year. We actually celebrated the Fruits of the Spirit. Clara L.K. Bailey's word was "Goodness." Area 1st VP Marcia Whitley was the presenter.

The Beatrice Moseley Women's Missionary Society of St. Luke A.M.E. Church (Chesapeake) led the 5th Sunday service. Associate Minister Rev. Winter Freeman from Greater St. Andrews A.M.E. Church (Virginia Beach), where Rev. Timothy Smith is the pastor, was the guest preacher. Her theme was "Don't Faint." She encouraged the missionaries to keep going when they get tired of doing good for God. He will strengthen them and help them achieve their goal.
During the service, the local Young People's Department of the society crowned its princess for this year's DORCAS contest--Jazilynn Hawkins.
