Glorious first Sunday and DS Cogman brought us the word from Romans 13:8-14; "Change Your Mind and Get Dressed"

As we get excited, ignited and delighted with all that GOD is doing for us, we can't help to share the good news with someone. We must keep a clear mind and don't be afraid to suffer through our trials. We mistake sure that we get dressed with the right clothes for the right reason. Don't be ashamed to shed or take off what no longer is part of your new life. As you make decisions don't just change your mind, make sure you are changing as well. If your mind doesn't change then your words, walk nor behavior will either. We must pay our debt because love is all we owe. Perceive the day and grab hold of a new spirit and make sure we put on the full armour of GOD so others may see the Christ in you. As we journey through this week remember GOD loves us so you must "Change Your Mind and Get Dressed."

Joint service with Mt Hope Umc and Pastor White reminded us that "Heaven Knows Your Name", coming from Revelation 2:12-17.

As we think about the ole landmark that our grandparents laid for us we are so grateful to GOD. Everyday we should have a testimony to share with someone. GOD is able and if he did it for you, then he can and will do it for someone else. The world has a way of putting a name on you and not the one from your parent. JESUS sees us and knows what we are facing. The world may be loud but heaven is LOUDER. We must repent and turn from the worldly ways because when we give our life to GOD, he gives us a new name. We must stay close to GOD and remember you are who GOD say you are not man. As we placed the worldly names on the cross, leave them there because "Heaven Knows Your Name. "

Sunny warm August Sunday and Minister Jones brought us the word from Romans 12:1-9 "Change Is Gonna Come."

As we continue to fight the good fight and continue to lean on GOD we know by his blessings that he doesn't reject us. We shouldn't run from the fight but instead fall on our knees and pray. Don't let the negativity of others and the what ifs creep in and steal our joy. Keep our minds on the word of GOD and don't wonder into uncertainty. GOD hasn't brought us this far to leave us because his plans for our life is bigger than anything we could ever imagine. Don't let anyone tell you that what you desire is not possible bevause with faith all this are possible with GOD. Remember our legacy and don't just listen to the word but be a doer of the word. We can and will overcome if it's GOD'S will and part of his plan. Make peace, stay in the word, apply his word, depend on GOD, put self aside because "Change Is Going to Come."

Cloudy Third Sunday and Minister Jones brought us the word from Psalm 133 " Living A Legacy. "

This is the day that the LORD has made and we came to rejoice and be glad in it. As we learn to trust in GOD because he is everything to us. We should look back over our life amd see how far GOD has brought us. Only GOD knows what tomorrow may bring and we should be grateful for today. We need to be in unity with one another. Think about when we were younger and how our parents talked about GOD and having a relationship with him. How good it is for brothers to gather together in unity. We need to go back to our villages to help with families today to help make living better. As we grow and get older we should stop thinking and acting like a child. Use our GOD given gifts for the betterment of his kingdom. So as we prepare for the week ahead, think about if you are leaving a legacy or are you "Living A Legacy?"

Humid Sunday but Minister Jones brought us the word from Matthew 14:22-33 entitled "What If?"

Each day we should be yelling out, " Thank You Lord For All You've Done For Me", and then ask the Lord, "What Do You Want Me to Do?" As trials and tribulations come, we shouldn't be afraid because GOD is always near. Fear & doubt has a way of stopping our blessing but faith & prayer will take it all away. We should count our blessings and not our complaints. Step out and should up with bild faith know GOD always has your back. Don't let the "what ifs" take your focus off GOD. Stand on his promises and not your circumstances because we are in his hands. So as we start our week, reprogram our minds, find the good in all situations and follow Jesus example. Step outside your troubles and don't let the doubts or "What If's" creep in because GOD is just a prayer away.

Cloudy humid first Sunday and Minister Jones brought us the word from Genesis 32: 22-31 reminding us to "Fight the Good Fight."

We have heard and remember what older saints tell us to pick our battles carefully because everyone isn't ours to fight. When we feel like GOD isn't near or we push him away he is always right by our side. We may have some long days and even longer nights but he is right there. We have to learn to pour our hearts out to GOD. When we wrestle with GOD, when you have no one to talk to listen to his small still voice. We have fears we have doubt we have anxiety, we have to be obedient to GOD. We are never alone, we just have to call on him. It's gets better when we give it all to GOD and let go. Call upon his name not just when problems come. His silence is not denial but just a test of faith. So as we start this new month with the same GOD, remember he will provide, he will heal and if we give it all to him, he will "Fight the Good Fight."
