💭 What kind of healing are you waiting for?

This morning at Hope Lutheran we were reminded that God's healing knows no limits — healing of sin, healing of body, and even victory over death itself. His healing isn't a band-aid. It's restoration at the deepest level.

No matter what you're carrying into this week — a diagnosis, a broken relationship, a grieving heart — His word still goes out. And His word still heals.

"He sent out his word and healed them..." — Psalms 107:20-21

You are not forgotten. You are not beyond His reach. 🙏

📸 Instagram: We Tried!

Some of you may have seen that we recently launched an Instagram account and even announced it in our June newsletter. We were excited to join the world of hashtags, inspirational graphics, and church photos. The account made it all of 24 hours.

In that time, we successfully posted:
✅ A welcome message
✅ A scripture reflection
✅ Information about Sunday worship

Apparently, this combination was simply too much excitement for Instagram’s automated system, which unexpectedly deactivated the account for allegedly violating “community standards.”

So yes — our church was apparently flagged by the robots.

While the situation caught us by surprise, we’re choosing to laugh about it and take it in stride. Technology doesn’t always cooperate the way we hope, and this just happened to be one of those moments.

For now, our Instagram plans are temporarily on hold, but we’re still hopeful we’ll eventually make our return to social media — preferably with a slightly friendlier reception from artificial intelligence next time around.

Until then, you can still find us right here on Facebook, on Sunday mornings, and anywhere else humans are still making the final decisions. 😊

On this Memorial Day, we pause with gratitude and remembrance for the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us of the cost of freedom and the deep courage of those who chose to serve others before themselves.

As we gather with family and friends today, may we also take a quiet moment to remember the fallen, pray for military families, and give thanks for the blessings we often hold so closely and dearly.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

May God’s peace and comfort be with all who carry memories of loved ones lost in service.

Please note: the church office is closed today in observance of the holiday. We will reopen during normal office hours tomorrow.
