A note to the Cherryville Community:

There has been a misunderstanding about our refusal to allow parking in our lot for softball games. To be brief, we did in fact agree to allow parking and the only two things we requested were, one, a schedule of the games so as to avoid conflict with our church events, and, two, for a waiver to be signed to free us from liability for any event related injury or accident. The response we received was that a waiver could not be signed, thus leaving us liable. That was simply not a workable situation for us.

Anyone who knows us knows that we, at First Wesleyan, have always had a strong children's and youth ministry. We care deeply for the young people in our community. In fact, we have always cooperated and partnered with the schools in our city, and plan to continue to do so.

We hope this message will help to clear up the misunderstanding. Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
