1) To provide a Christian home environment for children dependent upon others for their care.
2) To promote their growth physically, emotionally, educationally, and spiritually. Through school, community, and church related activites, the influence of positive people is a part of their lives. They help construct the atmosphere and environment in our rural community. Meeting children w

We are SO excited to celebrate being 98% of the way to our Cherokee Day goal! 💙 Because of this amazing community, our kids will have healthy snacks and meals to keep them fueled, focused, and smiling all year long. 🍎🥪✨

Thank you for showing up, cheering us on, and making such a big difference for our students. We’re feeling all the love today and couldn’t do it without you!

The first week of summer has been full of fun and special moments! Our youngest guy in care has completed head start and is ready for pre-k! We have had volleyball games, movie night, end of school celebrations, pictures in wildflowers and a Wednesday night devotional on the circle...just to name a few of the ways our parents are creating lasting memories. Thank YOU for all of the prayers, encouragement and support that allow our kids to feel safe and loved.

Congratulations to our two newest college graduates, both from Abilene Christian University!

Erick earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies. He has been accepted into the master’s program in history at Howard University. With plans to eventually pursue a Ph.D., he hopes to build a career as a professor devoted to academic research and teaching.

Brissa received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design, after earning placement on the Dean’s List every semester. Brissa has accepted a position with Directors Investment Group as a graphic designer.

The staff and family at Cherokee Home for Children are incredibly proud to have been part of Erick and Brissa’s journeys and celebrate the hard work, character, and determination that have led them to this exciting season of success and opportunity.

Cherokee Home was honored to host Water Day for Cherokee ISD on the Splash Pad built in memory of our beloved former Executive Director, Danny Duggan. 💦☀️

Seeing the joy, laughter, and love shared by students, staff, and our community today was truly special. We know Danny was smiling down on all of us, watching the campus come alive with happiness and togetherness , exactly the kind of spirit he cherished so deeply.
