We are a caring, Christian community dedicated to spiritual growth, Christian education, local and worldwide mission; challenged to open our minds and hearts, and reach out to all our neighbors. The Cheney United Church of Christ is a local congregation affiliated with the United Church of Christ denomination. The United Church of Christ is a place where no matter who you are or where you are on l

ife's journey, you are welcome here. The United Church of Christ encourages the spiritual quest of each person and its churches are places to explore that journey with no tests of creed or dogma. Our local church was founded in 1881 by eight charter members and became an affiliated UCC church in 1961 when the Congregational Church voted to join the UCC. Our congregation is made up of 120 members and friends who participate and add to our strength. As Christians, we welcome differing viewpoints and beliefs and respect the dignity of all who share their faith with us. We believe that “God is still speaking,” and that our faith changes and grows as we learn and gain experience throughout our lives. Join us as a member, a friend or just for a day, and you will soon see how easy it is to fit right in.

We hope you all have found good refuge inside away from the smoke. Next Sunday we will gather in our church parking lot once again at 10am for worship. Masks are required. The worship service is also being broadcast over the radio, so if you would feel safer and as it gets colder, we invite you to drive up in your car to participate fully in the service.
