📖 FAITH & BLUE | Final 2025 Gathering 🕊️
Sunday, November 16, 2025 | First Congregational Church of Chelsea

Yesterday morning, members of the Chelsea Police Department had the honor of attending the final Faith & Blue event of 2025 hosted by First Congregational Church. The service, led by Pastor Ellen Rohan Ball, brought together worship, reflection, music, and community connection.

Chelsea Police were represented by Chief Keith Houghton, Captain Jason Farden, Lieutenant Will Brizuela, Lieutenant Joe Fern, and officers of the Chelsea Police Department. We were also joined by City Councilor Lisa Santagate and City Manager Fidel Maltez, who offered words of unity and partnership.

The morning included readings from Scripture, heartfelt prayer, and beautiful musical performances — including Amazing Grace and Just a Closer Walk With Thee. Afterwards, officers and community members enjoyed fellowship and a meal together, creating space for conversations grounded in trust, respect, and compassion.

Faith & Blue reflects a simple but powerful truth: strong communities are built when we know one another, listen to one another, and stand together. Yesterday’s gathering was a meaningful reminder of that mission.

🙏 Thank you to Pastor Ellen, the church members, musicians, organizers, and every resident who welcomed us so warmly.

As we close this year’s Faith & Blue programming, we look forward to continuing our presence in community spaces and attending even more faith-based events throughout 2026's Faith & Blue. Hope to see you next year!

An excellent visit and tour of the Congregational Library today! Church field trip went well. We learned of a famous sermon from a Chelsea pastor Phillip Payson in 1782 which predates our commonly thought founding date if 1841. The director Kyle was very knowledgeable and all around a great experience!
