Aren't feeling inspired today? That is when your faith is tested the most, when you're in the valley and you don't want to do what you know to do. We Americans chase after the continual mountain-top experience but that is not where our faith in Jesus is forged (or where life is lived). Follow Jesus even when you aren't "up" and He will make a way for you.

Do you believe Jesus or just believe "in" Jesus?
There is a world of difference in those two things. One refers to His work, one refers to His Word. Many believe in His work, fewer still actually believe His Words. It is a strange and blinding thing to believe in Jesus but not actually believe His Words; welcome to the world of hollow Christians. Faith does not come by believing in creeds or facts, it comes from hearing the Words of Christ.

"Be ready in season, out of season," whether we feel like it or not. If we do only what we feel inclined to do, some of us would do nothing for ever and ever." Oswald Chambers
If we wait until "we feel like it", most of us would never obey Jesus in His hard teachings (Love your enemies, Forgive others, Die to self). We are transformed into new creations only when we ACTUALLY OBEY, not when we JUST AGREE that we should obey.

Don't forget that Peter walked on water in the middle of a WIND STORM until he took his eyes off Jesus.
There's the Lesson; your life maybe swirling in a wind storm but keep FOCUSED ON JESUS...what you thought was impossible, is possible. "All things are possible for one who believes."

"In the last days there will be times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self" The top of a laundry list of ugly things in the world is that people will be narcissistic, thinking only of themselves, unleashing their selfishness to a level that causes the collapse of society through fraud, cheating & jealousy. R we there? But you, O Christian, are called to be others-oriented, to be salt & light in a dark world. Do not grow weary of doing good.

UNITY in Christ is our STRENGTH. AND look how diverse the Church is! (Every tribe, tongue & nation) Diversity doesn't lead to unity, but UNITY will always lead to diversity. Dropping our fixation on "tribal differences" actually brings all tribes together!
"for in Christ Jesus you all sons of God, through faith. There is neither Jew nor Greek, this neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in CHRIST."

Prayer is to be continuous.
It's like the difference between a period and a comma; an ending vs. a pause. A pause means there is more to come; you never leave the conversation.
That's how we are to pray, we talk with God all day long, pausing here and there, but we never leave the conversation.

In the darkness, will we remain devoted? So often, God works in ways that do not announce themselves. He may seem absent, but He still holds the authority over your situation. Even in the darkest Saturdays of our lives, we can hold onto the hope that Sunday is coming. That is when we crown Jesus Lord over our lives, we can have victory when Sunday dawns and He rises in the full glory of the Kingdom to come.
Celebrate the New Life that Jesus has given us. Our Hope is in Jesus! SEE YOU SUNDAY @ 10:30am.

"Jesus said to him, "Follow Me." And leaving everything, he rose and followed him."
The call of Matthew is the same as our call; "leaving everything" at first appears difficult because of what you're giving up until you realize what you are "leaving to". You get to spend the rest of your life with someone who loves you, provides for you, protects you... literally a "marriage made in Heaven".
