One of our favorite aspects of summer camp is finding out the theme for each group each year. This year's theme for Calvary Church from Colinsville was hearing God's voice. Many of their activities were geared around following the right voice and trusting. Some these photos were taken from the obstacle course where they walked these principles out.

It’s finally Summer Day Camp time at Hargis. All 4 of our weeks are full so we are expecting an amazing summer with lots of happy campers. If you are registered for any of the weeks, here is a list of everything you will need to send with your child. An email will be coming from Mrs. Kellie the Sunday before your week of camp to tell you which color group your child will be in and who their counselors will be. We can’t wait to see you at summer day camp!!

If your child is looking for a fun camp for ages 3rd-6th (Pr***en Camp-June 19-22) or 7th-12th grade (Teen Camp June 24-27), they are inviting your child to join them. Journey Church from Prattville, Alabama is on site. Our second group of summer campers are here! This sweet church spends part of their summer with us every year. Pastor Nate and his crew have became like family to us here at Hargis. They are a kids camp (not teenagers) so one of the cool aspects of having them over and over is watching the kids grow from year to year.

Calvary Church from Geraldine Alabama is on site at Hargis Christian Camp. They are always the first group of overnight campers for our summer season. We love this sweet group of people. This is their 4th straight year with us.

Pray that Jesus is Made Known, lives are changed and hope is restored for this full summer season at HCC.

It was a full weekend of training at Hargis Christian Camp. This is the time of year that we get our prep done for summer camps. We had summer day camp counselor training, lifeguard training and cpr training. A big thank you to everyone who led. Especially to Brad Garrard and his wife Katrina Garrard for always blessing us with the cpr classes each year. Heart South CPR Training is the best!

Some of our favorite days at Hargis Christian Camp are when the special needs groups come out for the day. There's nothing like seeing kids catch a fish for the first time or take out a boat. Our doors are always open for free for these specific friends.

A big thank you to the teachers, peer helpers and volunteers who helped this week. Thank you for bringing hope to these kids.
